Details: Recommend a novel / short story / biography that relates to history in some way! This can be historical fiction, medieval fantasy or even nonfiction. Include Title, Author, and a brief summary. Use the textbox provided to submit & sign with your name and house (or a sigtag) for points!

Activity: Create a Sigil

Details: Everyone needs a symbol and motto to represent their family! We know that the four Hogwarts founders used animals and "key words" to symbolize the things they believe in, now it's your turn to do it for other important wizards! You may use any HP character for this activity but try not to use someone so minor that we don't know anything about them (I don't think Quidditch captain Summerby would be a good choice, for example). Use the template below to create a graphic symbol and motto. Let us know which character it was created for, as well.

Activity: HiH: A History

Deadline: Wed July 31, 10pm UTC (6pm EDT)
Details: Answer these 10 trivia questions about Hogwarts is Home. All of these answers can be found in The System, a community's entries or (in the case of some closed communities) userinfos. slumber will receive 5 extra points for suggesting this activity if she participates!

This is an early reminder because I also want to clarify some things (which will also be added to the original entry). You have about 6 days to participate and check your answers. The activity can be found here.

Remember to read the questions carefully. Try using LJ's calendar function to go back as far as you can. I added a more specific date to the question most people were having an issue with and for #10, I'm accepting 2 answers because of some confusion.

Details: Discuss how wands work or why wizards starting using them or alternatives or wand cores or analogies or whatever you want about magic wands!

An early reminder because I'm leaving for vacation and won't be back until the activity is almost over. You have about one week to participate. There's great discussion so far (I'm actually impressed!) but I'm sure the Gryffindors would love to hear from the other 3 houses. Participate here and sign with your name/house OR a sigtag to receive your points!

In first place, with entry 5 is gryffinwhore.
Second place, with entry 4 goes to erzsebet.
And in third is slumber with entry 2.
