Activity: Who Am I?

Details: Something fun and easy to start off the new term - we'll be playing Guess Who/Who Am I! The rules are simple - think of a minor HP Character and let others guess. (Simply leave a comment with "Who am I?") You can only ask questions that can be answered with yes or no! Two points per complete (!) round hosted, two points per guess and another two points per game won with a maximum of 30 points. This must be changed immediately; design a Malfoy Family Tree going at least two generations back; please make sure that your graphics don't exceed the size of 1000px altogether!

Activity name: Character Replacements
Points: 24hr debate: Participation 10pts, Additional comment: 5pts. 30pts limit.
Details: Over the course of the films, some of the characters were written out, assimilated into others, or played by multiple actors. Do you feel this is the right approach? Does the change of face affect how you feel about that character? A 24 hour debate to end the month.

I never expected a quick activity such as this debate to get so deep- a lot of people have been particularly passionate about this topic! It's covered social politics to media responsibility, alluded to many other examples outside the Harry Potter context, and has touched upon everyone from Dumbledore to Vincent Crabbe. Thank you all for such a lively discussion!

Details: We're going to play Twenty Questions, but it's going to involve really obscure characters. Realllly obscure.

Wow, these points were awkward to work out. I'm going to post these results up first (I have 3 to do tonight ~~and that's not counting that Hogsmeade Scattegories game I totes haven't forgotten about~~), because it's the fiddliest, and I want to give as much time over as possible to potential issues arising.

Doom and gloom aside there, it was a good turnout. Only two characters remained unguessed at the end of play! So what's occuring here?
