01

Description: A commemorative coin for the Battle of Hogwarts, one side features the famous scar of TBWL, and the other features the sword (Gryffindor's) used to get rid of a most important and deadly horcrux!
02

Description: I went with the current Minister and the logo of the Ministry of Magic to commemorate his contributions in rebuilding the wizarding world after the war ended. Harry Potter was asked, but he suggested using Kingsley Shacklebolt instead because, as he said, "I didn't nearly do as much as Kingsley did. The 'now what' is always the hardest part and Kingsley knew exactly what to do, despite not having much experience in politics before."
03

Description: Part of the Second Wizarding War heroes galleons, this one features Hermione Granger on the front. The back has the Hogwarts seal, as Hermione was a Hogwarts student at the time of the war. This coin is also being issued with: Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, Luna Lovegood, Neville Longbottom, and Ginevra Weasley.
04

Description: House-elves are creatures that really don't get enough credit in the wizarding world. They seem to be everywhere, helping as best they can, and yet ask for nothing in return. I think the least that could be done would be to honor them on the newly designed Galleon. For this I specified Dobby; a well known house-elf who showed daring and loyalty beyond measure. For the back I furthered that honor, choosing something Dobby himself cherished. Dobby's historical significance will go down as one of his species - always on the sidelines of Wizarding history - as well as his personal influence on the life of Harry Potter (as specifically referenced in the lightning bolt print sock).
05

Description: The new galleon's design features an artist's vision of what happened the night Harry Potter accepted his destiny and need to sacrifice himself for all of wizarding kind. This is possibly the most significant event in recent Wizarding history and is something that witches and wizards should be reminded of daily lest history repeat itself. The other side of the galleon features the deathly hallows symbol since the hallows played such a key role in the defeat of Voldemort.
06

Description: On the front, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Snape, and McGonagall, five heroes of the Battle of Hogwarts (and the entire Second Wizarding War) are honoured.
On the back, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, the greatest wizard of his time, Senior Mugwump, Order of Merlin - First class, the only wizard Voldemort was ever afraid of, instrumental to the end of the war.
07

Description: Queen Maev is very popular in irish folklore, and she is one of the most famous witches on the Wizarding cards. She was very powerful and a bit crazy. And ravens are very popular in the culture of wiZARDING.
08

Description: Soap Blizzard of 1378 that led to an economic crash
09

Description: The defining symbol of a wizard is a magic wand - necessary for most to cast magic effectively, which I chose as the front image of the galleon. The back was the most significant piece of wizarding clothing, the robe (which has more significance than the hat found more in Muggle stereotypes).
10

Description: To honor the awesome Neville Longbottom, Slayer of Nagini, Co-Leader of Dumbledore's Army, and the Other Chosen One!
11

Description: This coin commemorates the rich history of the Hogwarts Express train on one side, which has been a staple among wizarding children and families for generations, and the reemerging popularity of wizarding literature on the other, which helps connect the modern era to eras past.
12

Description: The coin depicts the battle of Hogwarts where He Who Shall Not Be Named, Lord Voldemort, and his dark forces were finally defeated by Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, in addition to the staff and students of Hogwarts. The coin also shows how the castle was triumphant as it was restored to its former glory after the war and battle had ended. Included on the coin is the timeless motto of Hogwarts, "Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus" which means "Never Tickle a Sleeping Dragon".
13

Description: Gringott the goblin revolutionized wizarding money and established the largest and most secure bank in all of Europe. It seems only fitting that he and his bank are immortalized on a galleon.
14

Description: Part of an overall currency range that celebrates the contributions of all magical creatures to the wizarding world, the galleon features a picture of Hogwarts on one face and a house elf opposite. This coin commemorates the charge of the house elves durring the second Voldemort war.
15

Description: The front has HP on it, to resemble the second war, while the back has Dumbledore on it, to resemble the first war.
16

Description: I figured that having an image of Dumbledore on one side of the coin made sense between the DA is named after him, plus he played a big role in two of the wars in the Wizarding world. Having the phoenix on the other side seemed to compliment Dumbledore well (because of Fawkes), plus phoenixes rise after death which is pretty apt for the DA.
17

Description: Probably a cliche, but a baby picture of the "boy who lived" and a "deathly hallows" image of "the chosen one" seemed appropriate.
18

Description: Albus dumbledore on one side, one of the great wizards of the modern age, and the hogwarts crest on the other, as the place where he was teacher and eventually headmaster for many years.
19

Description: Because the Goblins guard Wizarding money, it is only fair that the money itself honors them, which is why the logo and motto of Gringotts appears on one side, with the very founder himself appearing on the other. The founding of Gringotts was a very historical moment and deserves all such respect.
