The first book you remember reading for fun: I honestly can't remember, probably one of the little golden books? My fave books as a child were the Narnia series for their amazing world, adventure, rich fantasy and characters. And 'The Secret garden' I love, love, love this book! The story, the atmosphere, the characters, the setting, the garden, Dikon talking with animals, dammit EVERYTHING!! :)

The first book you remember reading for fun: Hmmmm, this is actually a pretty tough question. I think it might be The Magic Faraway Tree, a book children that climbed into a *magic* tree where the animals spoke to them! There might have been more to the book, but that's all I can remember now.
The first books I can remember really picking up and going after on my own were the Babysitter's Club books which I *devoured* in second grade.

The first book you remember reading for fun: As far as non-picture books go, it was probably one of the Little House on the Prairie. At least, I remember sneaking them out of my 2nd grade classroom until my teacher told my mother I could start reading chapter books.

The first book you remember reading for fun:I've always loved reading so I actually can't remember that far back. I guess I'll go with a book I really remember enjoying. In 4th grade I read Mossflower by Brian Jacques and loved that book. I spent the rest of 4th grade reading all of his other books.
