Hi all, sorry I forgot to mention this on the last results post, but I'm doing a roster sweep for S.P.E.W. I'm removing anyone who hasn't participated in any activities this term (unless you just signed the roster within the last couple of weeks).

Of course, please feel free to re-sign the roster if you've been removed, or to sign up if you're new :)

One more reminder about the House Elf Puzzles! You have a little over two days to participate. Come over to this post by August 30 at 11pm MST/August 21 at 5am UTC!

Activity: House Elf Puzzles
Dates: August 30 at 11pm MST/August 31 at 5am UTC
Points: 10 points possible, total; bonus items apply as long as you've completed at least 1 puzzle
Details: Solve some jigsaw puzzles about S.P.E.W. and House Elves. The three puzzles increase in difficulty and points: easy is worth 2 points, medium 3 points, and hard 5 points.

We've had a TON of participation so far, but I just wanted to remind everyone about the ABC sentence story we're writing about Dobby and Kreacher for the S.P.E.W. activity! You have until August 9 at 11:59pm MST (Aug. 10 at 5:59am UTC) to participate! It's a super easy and fun way to earn points!

Remember to start your sentence with the next letter- there are a couple of places where all of a sudden we skip a letter. I can't spend all my time watching the post, so I don't know if someone's comment just got deleted (along with the missing letter), but if I catch you skipping a letter, I won't count that next comment. Please go in order! Thanks!

Also, redhairedflame & cheredemoiselle , your images weren't available (Jess your picture had been moved/deleted, Amber yours was protected so I couldn't see it), so I couldn't include yours in the voting. If you can reply to this post or the original with an updated link and image of your sock, I can give you the 10 participation points but you won't be eligible to win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. Since this is so late in the month, I couldn't postpone voting, sorry :(.

Also, FYI, I just checked the System and some of the bonus items are available! As of now, I see 4 copies of the S.P.E.W. Leaflet, 3 things of knitting yarn & 2 S.P.E.W. badges. Get them for bonus points while you can! And don't forget to let me know on the roster when you have them!

Points: 10 points for first comment, additional comments 2 points each, up to 30 points. Points for bonus items if you have them.
Details: Hermione was adamant about winning better working conditions, fair wages, and time off for House-Elves. But it takes more than wanting something to make it happen. How would you convince a house-elf that they needed to be free? How would you convince the Ministry that their freedom was necessary?

Great participation from all the houses! And a special shout-out to our champions of the house-elf cause, kimberry531 , cyyt , los_york , & raphaellover , all of Gryffindor, for maxing out on points!
