Title: Broken Faith
Date: April 1998
Medium: Wizarding Film
Dimensions: 8"x10"
Curatorial Comments: A part of the last roll of film developed from Colin Creevey's camera, found on his bed in Gryffindor dormitory the night after the Final Battle. This picture captures the physical and emotional pain suffered by a third year student after a particularly painful detention session with Amycus Carrow.

Title: Secret Chamber
Date: Dec 2000
Medium: magical oil on canvas
Dimensions: 24 inches by 12 inches
Curatorial Comments: Kim attempts to capture the original Hogwarts Chamber of Secrets before it was opened (either time), including a sleeping Basilisk. Rumor has it, the Basilisk will open its eyes if you speak in Parseltongue, but most are too scared to test this out. Other paintings rarely visit this one because of its frightening tone and the real danger a Basilisk presents.

Title: Levitating Objects
Date: April 3, 2013
Medium: magical paint
Dimensions: 1m x 1m
Curatorial Comments: This piece is of the style generally known to Wizarding artists as postmodern and generally uses magic to depict mundane scenes in Wizarding life. This piece, for example, shows the effects of a simple Levitation Charm.

Title: In The Dark
Date: c.1989
Medium: Blood on Parchment
Dimensions: 30cm x 30cm
Curatorial Comments: This piece is the only known artwork of the infamous Death Eater Bellatrix Lestrange. It was found a number of years ago in the deep cells of Azkaban prison, but has only recently been allowed for public viewing. As you can see, it is rather dark and chilling, and displays the horrors she was facing, both emotionally and physically, during her incarceration. It is unknown how she got hold of the tiny piece of parchment, perhaps it was left in her cell, but with no other tools to hand, she used her own blood to display her state of mind.

Artist's date of birth/death: January 12, 1700 - October 5, 1780
Title: March of Dragons
Date: painted July of 1775
Medium: a mix of Muggle and magical oil paints
Dimensions: 20 feet by 4 feet, hung in a circular fashion
Curatorial Comments: The artist's rendition of an early battle in the American Revolution War, The Battle of Bunker Hill, is also a fantastical opinion piece on the differences between Muggle and Wizard technological advances. With wands haphazardly thrown in as weapons, and clouds of smoke taking form of dragons, the artist also gave praise to the brave Wizards who fought alongside the Muggles, albeit in secret.

Title: Marders
Date: April 15th, 1981
Medium: Muggle Paint, no known brush used, mixture of muggle paper and parchment.
Dimensions: 12" 12"
Curatorial Comments: A fingerpaint drawing Potter made before his parent's deaths, of his father and uncles -- whom Potter called Moo'y and Pa'foo. There appears to be food in some corners of the piece, but the item has been taken down by Potter himself, who wanted the piece for his house, to remember his family.

Title: La Beauté de L'amour (The Beauty of Love)
Date: May 2001
Medium: Tapestry (created with a combination of wool, silk, and Veela hair)
Dimensions: 12 ft x 8 ft
Curatorial Comments: The tapestry was begun when Ms. Weasley was pregnant with her first child and was finished one month after young Victoire's birth, which coincided with the anniversary of The Battle of Hogwarts. The scene is meant to depict how good was able to overcome evil during that fateful battle. In the middle of the scene is a self-portrait of the artist and her husband.
Warning: Due to the use of Veela hair in this work, our male visitors are asked to take heed when approaching.

Title: A Saviour For Us All
Date: September 5, 1998
Medium: Oil paints and magic
Dimensions: 36 inches x 28 inches
Curatorial Comments: This piece was created by a wizard under a glamour, and we may never know who the man was. He told us it was created shortly after the second wizarding war had ended, and the main focus of the painting is Harry Potter. The backdrop of the painting is Hogwarts in rubble, as it was after the war, and it has been magically altered to become Hogwarts in all its glory, and Harry Potter turns from dirty and exhausted to a look of triumph and success. The painting is powerful, and may be moved to Hogwarts after some amount of time.

Title: SPARK PLUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Date: July 12, 1982
Medium: Mixed media
Dimensions: 12' by 12'
Curatorial Comments: This is the 5th piece of art in Mr. Weasley's...............enthusiastic 57 piece art line paying homage to various Muggle inventions. A certain black haired war hero was quite insistent that we display this. So....yes.

Title: Of Gryffindor
Date: August 1998
Medium: Magical oil paint
Dimensions: 12in by 10 in
Curatorial Comments: Having suffered persecution during the Second Wizarding War, Dean Thomas became quite well-known for his series of nostalgic paintings, capturing the world of magic as seen through the eyes of a young man. Here, in one of his most famous works, we see such a scene: a night of fun and games in Hogwarts' Gryffindor common room.

Medium: Muggle style photography

Curatorial Comments: Believed to be one of a handful of picture taken of a young Gellert Grindelwald. This picture in particular was taken the very same summer that Gellert and Albus met. It's like peaking into a forgotten moment in history.

Title: Bookshop Clerk in the Little Mercato
Date: 1950
Medium: oil on canvas
Dimensions: 30"x40"
Curatorial Comments: Senai, a Muggle-born witch, is famous for creating non-moving paintings of daily wizarding life in Addis Ababa. This painting, Bookshop Clerk in the Little Mercato, depicts a shop clerk closing up a bookshop during the war, wand in hand while books fly through the air to their shelves. The painting has long hung in the secret wizarding wing of the Ethiopian National Museum, although it has periodically been shown in the Muggle wings in exhibits of 'fantastical' art.

Title: Sun Over a Landfill
Date: 5-12-2001
Medium: black and white photograph
Dimensions: 30" by 20"
Curatorial Comments: Due to the bichromatic color scheme it's impossible to tell if the sun is rising or setting over this massive Rio de Janeiro landfill. It's a decrepit place crawling with vermin and the poor trying their best to scrape a living through recycling and pilfering. It's not uncommon to find entire slums dwelling above or next to a landfill and in this series of heart-wrenching photos from Finklemeyer he does his best to highlight the plight of Muggle children who have no magic or hope. Each of his photos give rise to a feeling of eerie despair until this final one where a child clutching a rancid milk carton is staring right at the viewer with a puzzled smile.

Title: A Boy At Rest
Date: November 1995
Medium: pencil
Dimensions: 8x10
Curatorial Comments: Madam Poppy Pomfrey was the matron and head nurse at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and as such she had the opportunity to watch over Harry Potter due to the many times he ended up in the hospital wing under her care. This pencil drawing the famous Harry Potter she made while at his bedside keeping watch over him. You'll note how the scar is very faint in her portrait yet his injuries at the time are heavy, this shows how little she cared about his celebrity status and more about his health.

Title: Pesadilla Recurrente (Recurring Nightmare)
Date: c. 1750
Medium: Sculpture - organic (dark)
Dimensions: Varies
Curatorial Comments:
Ariza was raised in a small wizarding community in the east of the country. During his early adulthood there was a breakout of lycanthropy in the local area. Although most accounts agree Ariza was never infected himself, many suggest at least one of his children was either killed or turned by a werewolf bite. Undeniably, his works became greatly influenced by werewolf iconography from 1745 onward. Here is a sculpture, believed to be a type of infant's mobile designed for levitatation above a child's crib. It is made out of skin flesh, nails, hair and bones from unknown werewolf donors. Magically preserved to endure after their owner's deaths, the sculpture still transforms once a month at the full moon, as an omen and a warning to any who forget the terrors caused by the affliction.

Title: Wizard drawing from Chauvet Cave
Date: c. 30,000 BCE
Medium: Ocre on stone
Dimensions: 20cm x 20cm
Curatorial Comments:
In this very early example of cave art, a wizard is seen using magic to drive various animals toward his muggle counter parts. In is interesting to note that the wizard in question does not seem to be using a wand, possibly indication a heavy reliance on wandless magic during pre-historic times. Likewise, it is interesting to note the close relationship between wizards and muggles that existed in early history.

Title:Emotion
Date:6/4/98
Medium:finger paints on paper
Dimensions:21x29 cm
Curatorial Comments:This piece was donated by St Mungos hospital and is an example of victims of the crutiatus curse possibly attempting to communicate their emotions through artwork after suffering the effects of brain damage. The artist has been known to use dark colours and harsh straight likes while her Healer's feel she is upset but bright colours with curved imagery when she is happy. This piece is from after the last Battle of Hogwarts and the defeat of Lord Voldemort and seems to demonstrate that on some level the artist understood what was happening around her and was happy about it.

Title: Hogwarts As I Knew It (One Student's Remembrance of the Castle Pre-Second War)
Date: July 2010
Medium: Sculpture
Dimensions: Stands 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide
Curatorial Comments: A recreation of Hogwarts Castle before it was destroyed, and then rebuilt, during the Second War. Includes such details as the moving staircases and shifting ceilings of the Great Hall. Of particular note, Mr. Longbottom used pieces of a Mimbulus Mimbletonia in his work to, as he says, "give it a more organic feel." Unfortunately, early visitors were often sprayed with Stinksap, though the frequency of that has appeared to have died down.
