Salazar Slytherin created his own personal chamber deep within the walls of Hogwarts, a chamber so secretive that even his fellow founders had no idea that it existed. What might you create, if you had your own secret Hogwarts room?

You can choose to write a paragraph of at least 100 words explaining what your Chamber of Secrets might look like (and what you might do within its confines), or create a graphic that depicts your room (it can be as simple as a Photoshopped collection of furniture, or a doodle with some basic design). Have fun with it!

Okay...so I think my Chamber of Secrets, would be pretty sweet and awesome. It'd be underground, of course, the best place for a chamber of secrets. It'd probably have high ceilings and a big fireplace. Big, soft, squishy couches, probably two or three of them. And some big, soft, squishy chairs. There'd be a bunch of bookshelves, so I could pick a book and curl up by the fire and read. I'd probably have a corner of the room, where there was a huge screen TV, all my gaming consoles hooked up, so I could play whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. I'd also have a huge bed, in another corner of the room, it'd be big and comfy and squishy and warm. Yeah, I think that'd be pretty awesome.

It's tempting to say that my chamber of secrets would be secret... but I would have to say that my chamber would most likely include a lot of the best memories of my past. Various successes, particularly soothing trips to waterfalls/oceans/wherever (including, for example, the times I randomly jumped into the Baltic during my final month in Finland), amazingly tasty things would all be depicted. And since magic would be involved, you would actually be able to experience them as if you were there and doing the relevant things for the first time. As for the decor? Ever changing, but there would be a way to include soothing waterfalls to stare at (and jump in if you were so inclined), a sizzling fireplace, and only the finest and smoothest of fabrics to enjoy!

If I had my own Chamber of Secrets, I would make sure it was in the dungeons. I would hide riddles and hints around the school about its location, so that once I had left the school, it could be used by worthy students after me.

The chamber would have two rooms. In the main room - a spacious room, warmed by a nice, large fireplace, with soft armchairs near it - there would be large bookcases, with books that have been spelled not to be able to leave the room. The adjoining room would be a bedroom, with a portrait guarding it, with yet another riddle. While more than one person could gain access to the main room if they found it, only one person at Hogwarts at any given time would be allowed access to the bedroom, where there would be the even rarer books, and other artefacts. For study, not for taking. The bedroom ceiling would be like the ceiling in the great hall, and it would be enchanted to see the great lake and the animals living in there (Except the merpeople, because I think they would be angry at that). They couldn't see in the chamber though, nor could anyone in the lake going near it.

It would kind of be a room to relax in, to get away, to study, to do whatever.

I don't like dark, underground places. I largely prefer bright, open, sunny places. Because of that, I can't imagine my ~secret chamber~ would be very secret - or maybe it would be secret, but still able to be seen. Like a tower that no one can find the entrance to. But it would be a place I could go to get away, the regain my energy. There would be books. Lots of books! Oh, and a kitchen filled with only the freshest ingredients. Magic would provide based on whims - like the Room of Requirement, but proving what you want instead of what you need. Entrance would be difficult though, and only those whose company I personally enjoy would be able to find it.

My secret room would probably be more like the room of requirement -- just in that no one could find it but it's in plain sight. I'm not about deep, dark dungeons underground (I'm scared to go into my basement to do laundry at night!) so something like a regular room would work better. And since one of m biggest issues right now is "alone time" and having my own space, this secret room would be full of relaxing things like a big TV and a fridge stocked with soda and yummy snacks. Maybe even a comfy bed for nap time. I guess I'm going for a cushy and luxurious dorm room.

Okay, so, basically, the chamber would be on the main level, but it would be like a house within another house. And it would be huge~. You go through the door [which swings to the right to open] and enter. Immediately to your right, you would see a huge wall with built in shelves and cupboards, filled with my knick-knacks. In front of that, kitty-cornered, would be a wonderfully large couch in the shape of an L, with plenty of cushions. Sporadically placed in front of this couch would be foot stools. In front of those would be a table, diagonally placed. On each ends of the couch would be a table. Right across from the table/couch would be an entertainment area, with a huge television [that rotates], gaming systems, dvd's, etc.

Behind the entertainment area is a bar with stools, while in front of that is table large enough to fit fourteen people for parties [because I would host a lot of them xD]. Behind that would be my kitchen, which would hold an island with bar stools and cupboards [that seats eight], a wrap around counter with appliances underneathe a wall to floor window and then to the right would be a semi-open wall with my convection ovens/stones and stools are sporadically placed.

Behind that, next to the originally seen wall are steps going down slightly. Right in front of me would be a large set of bookshelves, filled with books. In front of those shelves would be a nice area rug with chairs in the corners, and a fireplace to the right, against the wall. Beyond the rug would be a pool table and dart board. There's a wall that fills the room halfway behind this pool table/board. To the left of this wall, and against the original wall would be my bed and an ottoman.

The wall behind the pool table opens up into another room. The door opens to the right, and you're immediately in a home gym. There's another wall far from you, which has another door. This leads to a hallway. The hallway leads to another room, which is an office that has two desks, a couch and a television. It also leads to a staircase. This staircase leads to the "rooftop balcony". This has a garden surrounding it, a poo, picnic table, barbeque, bar, table/chairs, and a door. This door is the main area door, where everything is encased in a glass room, with windows, ofc.

Aha, that's long, right? Admittedly it all came from different places I've been too -- the main floor before the small steps is my uncle's, somewhat. The steps is my old townhouse, and then the home gym/office is my uncle's again.

This is what the physical room of my Chamber would look like. Plenty of light, gorgeous architecture sans the people. I'd have comfortable armchairs set up with huge shelves lining the walls with all the books and art I could ever need in case there came a time I had to hide in Chamber for whatever reason.

And the only reason I could think of is if people started hunting after the Heir of Slytherin with pitchforks. So it'd have to be quite comfortable for a long stay!

I would want my chamber of secrets to be the opposite of Salazar’s – I’d want it to be up high in the towers. I would want it hidden, not visible, except to me when I needed it. When I did, a bright green door would appear. Upon entering, there would be lots of windows. I really like a room with a view, so to be able to see mountains, forests, lakes, etc. would be ideal for me. I’d want to be able to open the window and smell fresh air, because it is energizing to me. I’d use my chamber of secrets as a means to relax and unwind, to focus my energy and be more productive. It’d have tons of books, soft lounge chairs, and it would smell of lilacs. It would be cool and airy, and I’d wear socks and sweaters to keep warm and cozy. I’d also have a fully stocked kitchen because I love cooking and baking, I'd have music playing while making my favorite desserts or meals. I'd also have some wine or beer on tap to, you know, help me relax :3

First of all, my chamber would have tons of skittles. It would also have a plethora of shoes, makeup and champagne. It would have plush settees in velvetine and televisions and the internet (with IP rerouting to delay discovery), and a host of movies and television shows. There would be music and maybe a harem. Yes, a harem would be nice.

...Kidding about that last part. Sort of. ;) Ultimately it would just have all the things that make me happy in one place and would be difficult to get into so I could be blissfully alone any time I want to be.

My secret room will look a lot like this. The only seating will be a window seat with room for only one or two people since I will be using my room to get away from people. I"ll have a large window so the room can be nice and sunny and I can look out on the grounds without having to actually be outside. To get the window, the room will be placed in between two classrooms with a secret entrance from both of them, it will be pretty small, so no one should notice that each of the rooms is a couple of feet smaller than the hallway would suggest that they should be. Most importantly of all my room will be sound proof so I can sing out constantly without disturbing anyone else.

........I think this is pretty self explanatory. It would have a pretty bright color scheme because I am not emo and misunderstood~~~~ like Salazar. It would have my fave things ......money that would replenish (and hushhhhhh of course this would work don't cite the books), girly drinks, bacon, plush furniture, plenty of room for friends to gather there. It would also be psychic like the RoR because I am a fickle creature and my room needs to adapt~~~~

My Chamber of Secrets would have walls made of book shelves, on which I would keep a vast collection of books. There would be a section of comfy chairs with perfect reading light, where I would retire when I wanted to read. There would also be a fully stocked bar nearby with all of the items necessary to mixing perfect cocktails. Nearby would be a self-playing piano that would play my music when I needed to rehearse, as well as an open space perfect for dancing. I would also have a large pool in case I want to take a dip, air hockey and pool tables for when I invite my friends, and a huge entertainment center for watching movies and TV. There would also be a special room where it always snows so that I can play in the snow throughout the year. At the end of the day, I would crawl under the covers of my huge, waterbed and fall asleep to the comforting sound of a water fall.

I may or may not be watching Big Brother a bit too much because all I can think is my chamber of secrets would have hidden cameras so I can check out what everyone else all over Hogwarts is doing. (Well, what is the point of having a chamber of secrets if you aren’t doing anything secretive??) It would also have a whole ton of Muggle technology, because I couldn’t give it up. So it would be super comfy and painted in bright colors. I’d love a nice, comfy couch and a big-screen tv. Then I would have my laptop and a cell phone and all my trashy magazines I don’t want everyone else to know I’m reading. Plus, just things like books and a mini-fridge stocked with soda and other treats. Maybe an air hockey table, in case I ever want to invite someone else down. If I could figure out a way, I would bring my dog with me, so I could see her all the time, so I guess there would have to be an exit to the outside so she could run around and get exercise and all that. I think I would go there to get away from everyone and everything and just do my own thing — watch tv or play on the computer or read or write or play with my dog. And of course, as I said, keep a watch on everyone else! You can never be too careful around Hogwarts :)

Ooh, my secret chamber would so totally be like the underground libraries (cue "Typical Claw" looks from everyone, sorry not sorry!) in Beautiful Creatures, where they hold all kinds of books on arcane knowledge, stretch for miles and miles underground covering expanses of land and connecting to other cities and underground libraries all over, and where one can get lost just wandering through. There will be nooks and crannies that are perfect for reading in whatever position the reader best finds suitable for the narrative -- sitting down, lying on their back, on their side, curled up with a cup of hot cocoa -- and maybe even some rooms where some kind of runic magic is so strong that every word read comes to literal life around the reader.
