Details: Every summer we have new fashion trends but do you like them? What would you change?
And do you think the Harry Potter characters would wear them?

So let's have a little debate. It's about fashion and I know that I love to talk about what models have been wearing on the runway (and well, when watching Germany's next topmodel I also laugh about the "models")
Anyways, like every summer there are some must-wears - at least that's what Fashion magazines tell us. But what do you think about these must-wears? Do you like them? Hate them? And would Hermione, Ron, Draco or Snape wear them? I googled some of the trends and posted the pictures so you have an idea what to talk about.

Women:

1. Get graphic: I think there might be some color schemes or prints I like, but generally, I'm not a big fan of those. On other people, this can look absolutely stunning, but I prefer simple colored (=black) things to wear. Luna would most definitely like this trend, I can totally imagine her diving right into this. The trend really matches her personality.

2. 90's Nostalgia: Wait, why is this called nostalgia? If I would dive into my closet, I'd find a lot of 90s stuff in it and I guess I've been wearing it all the years, too. It doesn't look like nostalgia to me. Guess I'm just kinda outdated. The 90's hair would match Hermione perfectly, other than that, I think Tonks would like this trend. The jumper the model wears would be great on Tonks.

3. Sexy Sixties: Yet another trend I do not like. Just about all of it. I guess I'm not feminine enough to appreciate it. But it would suit Lavender quite nicely.


Men:

1. Cropped trousers: That is a trend? Looks like the model has long outgrown these trousers. No, I wouldn't want to force this trend on any character.

2. Grey on grey: Uhm, ok. I can live with this trend. Dunno, but I think Slughorn would look nice in it, as would Harry Potter. The color of his eyes would be perfect with grey.

3. Belted Coats: Same here. I could see aurors wearing it to fit the cliche.

I think the 90s nostalgia would work if there was a bit of a twist to it, where you don't just dive into any 90s closet and start wearing all the old trends unironically. But that's the thing with fashion, right? It's progression still, whatever you do, so if you can do a spin on it to make it make sense within the context of the times, I'd be able to see it working.

I actually thought of Luna when I saw the sixties dresses. They seem a little cute and a bit eccentric to me, so I automatically pictured her wearing them, but I can see her going with the graphics too. She likes bright colors and matching weird patterns, so I can see it. Maybe not the dress above but in other instances!
