The problem with studying crystal balls is they're only ever kept in the Divination classroom, and by extension, only accessable for a couple of hours a week. Still, you persevere, and after making yourself cross-eyed for what feels like weeks, some shapes ripple forth from within the infinite depths of the glass.

Activity Name: Crystal Ball Gazing
End Date: Sunday, 31st March @ 22:00 UTC
Points: Participations only: 10pts
Details: You will be presented with 10 "magic eye" pics. Can you gaze deep within its depths and unlock the hidden symbols? Point for each one you get right.

Sorry this is so late; because I'm so utterly awesome I submitted this to the system as 2012, and only corrected it a couple of days ago. ¬__¬

The activity is as follows:

Below the cut I have provided you with ten "magic eye" images I have made. What I want you to do is stare at them until you discover the image hidden within the rendering.

Because it may not always be easy or obvious, each link will come with a (usually vague) clue to give you a point of reference. The clues will be Divination themed, because I'm like that. Identify each one and score a point, for a maximum of ten!

#01 - Tasseography
#02 - Astral
#03 - Cold Reading
#04 - Geomancer
#05 - Astrology
#06 - Holistic
#07 - Cards
#08 - Fate
#09 - The Past
#10 - The Future

Some of these images are big, but they have to be because resolution matters with these graphics.

Not sure how to uncover the images? There's a couple of tips here, and you can find advice about how to master stereograms all over Google. Have fun exploring the massive web archives of 3D Magic Eye pics, and see what you discover!

When you think you have some answers, write them in this here textbox:

Comments are screened, and bonus points from the ROSTER can only match the points you earn here, not exceed them.

There can be tricky to master, but once you get the knack, the rest should follow fairly easily, and once you've got the grip of it, you should retain it for life. Think of it as riding a bike, but with your eyes crossed.

Good luck!

Boo. This is a good idea for an activity, but I can't see 3D images (it's a medical thing, not that I don't know how), so I wish there was another way I could still participate :(

Hmm. I kind of wonder if I'm in that boat too. I've never been able to do these and have plenty of eye related issues.

It totally could be! For years I just thought it was me and I was doing something wrong, but a year or two ago, I saw a new optometrist and they did a 3-D test and I pretty much failed. The optometrist said some people just can't see in 3-D (or can't see well in 3-D. I have to say, it totally made me feel better (and also explained why I've never thought 3-D movies were all that! heh).

Do those glasses help it see things?
One evil-looking Puffskein was desperate to be sorted...
