SOCIAL POST
(sorta)

This post is to tie in with the activity post posted to [livejournal.com profile] hh_clubs HERE

In order to place on that activity, you must post here twice.
Collaborate, coerce, chatter, scheme or confess. I don't mind how you play it.

I'm going to leave you with 10 labelled threads, corresponding to the 10 questions. You don't have to use them all, but it'll be an opportunity for you to organise your thoughts along the way.

Remember, you are free to change your mind at any point, and you don't have to answer honestly. You just need to pick the least popular choice.

Also remember that if there is no lone option that is least popular (ie a tie for this), that question is null and void. You'll get house points, but it won't get you any nearer to placing.

So yeah. That's that. If I think of anything to say, I will.

The future will look bleak if you forget to sign the ROSTER!

Very good question. I do consider myself fluent in English (but how can I consider myself fluent in my own native language?) but have no idea about my actual level since I never questioned that - higher than the FCE requirements probably since my graduation exam was at about that level and I mastered that with questions whether I was English after the oral part but... Anyway xD. Looking at French I think I know about the langauge skill in level B2 because found a friend in Paris who had level B2 and was definitely able to talk and understand French very well, so maybe B2 is on the edge to fluent? I think I'd consider fluent to be able to understand, talk, read and write without major mistakes and/or problems without having to stammer around more than talking or ask other people for help... Also, perhaps have a *little* sense for pronounciation?

I definitely consider you fluent in English, and I haven't ever even heard you speak :) But you write amazingly well, so I just assume you understand and speak well, too.

I agree with your definition, though: being able to understand and communicate without too many major problems or mistakes (less emphasis on the mistakes, though, because seriously, people who are native English speakers make atrocious mistakes and they should really know better!!)

aww thank you Kristine! ♥ Also, I'm planning to get a video post up pretty quite soon, so there might be lots of rambling to hear there *end shameless self-promo* xD

Yep! I make some mistakes in my native language too, of course... I mean, not too many but mistakes are there, no matter if native language or not, so one shouldn't judge the fluency just by mistakes... Unless it's a ton of mistakes that only an ESL/LSL could make of course, but I think it's pretty quite clear what I'm trying to say. At least I hope so!
