Essay: Why does the song remind you of this event?
I think this song relates to 9-11 and the shock that the US was left in after the event. I see it from the point of view of those Americans trying to pick themselves back up afterward. To so many people, it seemed like it was the end of the world. Nothing was the same after it, and the people of the US were no longer individuals but bound together by this scar in history. Sometimes we just wanted to escape it all, to forget it, but together, we kept looking to the sky, waiting for the next terrible thing to befall us, but hoping it never did.
