Date: 2011-06-09 01:04 am (UTC)02. Again, I'm transported to a much earlier time period - Queens and knights and gladiators. This music makes me think of someone earnestly traveling, maybe to deliver news or stop something from happening. Again, it doesn't evoke happy, positive emotions, but more a feeling of desperation.
03. This music is much more modern, kinda ~chill music compared to the first two. I can see a young couple driving in a car at night somewhere, holding hands over the center console, maybe running away together. There's a kind of hopefulness to the music, with undertones of danger and possibility.
04. Okay so right away, the first thing that popped into my head was the characters from Skins, at a club, everything all trippy with strobe lights and lots of sweaty people dancing. lol THIS IS MY BRAIN, OKAY? but I definitely immediately think rave, lots of colors.
05. OK, this music is totally eerie, like.. driving up a winding road to a haunted mansion where the audience KNOWS some freaky shizz is about to go DOWN. I get a kind of ~supernatural scary feeling from it for sure. Movies like The Haunting of Hill House and The Others come to mind.
06. This one made me immediately think of technology.. all the beeps and stuff.. I just pictured someone sitting at a computer.. except theres definitely an urgency to the beat.. so maybe someone is trying to crack a code before time runs out or hack into a system or something of the sort.
07. This music is kind of trippy and it makes me think of nighttime or a dark place. There's something kind of sensual about it, but not at all loving. I could see strippers dancing to it lol idk idk. OR WAIT.. it also kind of makes me think of montages in CSI where they show them running the evidence in the lab ... again, idk. i didn't get a strong, immediate mental picture from this one.
08. There is totally something ethereal about this music. I immediately think light and white and glow and gauze and... gaussian blur lmao. It's a little on the creepy side too though. Ghost music, but not ~evil. Spirits.
09. This music, again, has urgency to it. It's definitely very action movie-esque to me. I can see someone running to escape, machine gun slung over their shoulder. There's a rock edge to it.. makes me think of black and reds and oranges, like fires and explosions.
10. This music has a futuristic feel to it. It makes me think of outer-space and stars and exploration. I immediately had, like, those Odyssey into Space IMAX movies pop into my head.

03. This is beautiful, but almost bittersweet. This is somebody leaving their lover - it's got the promise of a return but the burn of loss. It's somebody hurting, but the light at the end of the tunnel that promises happiness soon.
04. This is dancing, freedom, ecstasy. It's somebody dancing with a stranger they're attracted to, somebody sweating with the effort but somebody absolutely happy in that moment.
05. This is mourning. Somebody has lost someone. It's revenge, too. They want revenge, and they will get it. The person they loved is lost, and they have nothing else to lose.
06. I LOVE THIS SONG. SO MUCH. ROYKSOPP ARE MY FAVOURITE. This is a summers day, sitting in the grass, with the sun beating down, with your best friend. It's spending the day laughing and joking and being happy. It's dancing together, for no particular reason, but because you can.
07. This is waiting. For something, or someone. It's waiting at the brink, just waiting and expecting. There's no joy, just cold, calm, collected, patience.
08. This is falling asleep. Drifting off, curled up in your bed alone, watching the lights out of the window and just slowly falling asleep. The space between dreaming and awake.
09. This is panic, terror, the rush of your heartbeat as you freak the fuck out. This is being self contained, not being chased, but being alone and so very, very scared. This is waiting, becaus you know this is an end.
10. This is the future. This is travel and the unknown and being so excited to learn. This is being on a train at night, going somewhere new, with hopes and dreams and only positive thoughts.

Date: 2011-06-17 08:37 am (UTC)2. I think I'm really good at just picturing music with would-be scenes from movies and/or movie montages because this one feels like it's from an early era, perhaps around the time of the Titanic. There's an ease about the start but then it gets into the heavier side and it feels like there was a betrayal or something just as bad. The music is brilliant though. The ending feels very final as well, like whatever happened was sudden and shocking.
3. This one I’m imagining someone sitting, facing a window, the sun is setting in the sky and they have an acoustic guitar on their knee, strumming away. As the music introduces more instruments, I see the person wandering the streets, head bowed, deep in thought. As they walk along, they’re thinking about how to solve whatever problem it is they have, trying to find the best solution for them.
4. I see a kaleidoscope of colours in this one like I’m in a night club where there are lots of different coloured flashing lights. The first minute or so of the music feels very up-beat and happy and I could clearly see people getting their groove on to this song.
5. Ohh, eerie violin music makes me feel like there has been some kind of dramatic death that needs to be covered up by an awesome instrumental piece. It’s quite eerie and dramatic at the start and continues on throughout the entire piece. I see someone fawning over their lost love, crying and willing them to wake up again (gosh, I am morbid in this post!) especially because the end is so final. It just cuts off and that’s all there is to it.
6. This one feels like a very good dance beat. I see a lot of people dancing wherever they are, regardless of their surroundings and who is there. It’s got a good beat and it feels like that scene from Matrix: Reloaded where everyone is dancing and celebrating. Though, as the piece goes on, it changes feel a little bit. Still feels like a dance piece but it also feels like a bit of a chase scene or a big discovery scene from an older movie or tv show. (I really need to get more creative with my answers.)
7. This feels like something out of The Outsiders movie. Like the calm before the storm. As the piece goes on, I feel like that storm comes and wipes out everything in its path, uncaring and unforgiving and everyone is just left with the clean up. Of their lives, their homes – everything.
8. With this one, it feels like a bit of a movie montage in my mind. It feels like it's a cross between a ballet dancer practicing and something from Torchwood (no, I haven't seen Black Swan either). When I heard the first opening notes, all I could see in my mind was a ballet dancer dancing across a dark stage, one lone spotlight shining down on her but as the music went on, I saw the montage of different things, life flitting on, important moments getting a glimpse of 'screen time'. Overall, it had a bit of an ethereal feel to it.
9. This one is extremely eerie to start with. It sounds like something out of a horror movie or something equally scary. Ohh, different beat. Nope, still scary to me. I’m not going to listen to this whole piece, I’m a wimp and that was a bit freaky for me. Definitely a battle piece if I ever heard one.
10. This definitely has a futuristic feel to it. Like someone is seeing what the future will be like, how the world will be in the years to come. Seeing outer space and the galaxy. It’s a very soothing piece (compared to the last few at least) and it feels like I’m travelling through space, seeing everything with this person for the first time.

Re: Gryffindor
Date: 2011-06-18 09:36 am (UTC)2. Lots of steel, teal and marble. Lightning and thunder. There’s a battle going on in the background, but the main focus of the scene is between two combatants who haven’t started to fight yet. It isn't clear if they will.
3. A teenage boy is in his room, trying to decide what to do. He gets up and walks outside. He appears intent as he crosses town and there’s a sense that something tragic is going to happen, something final.
4. After waking up in a London hotel room, a man gets in his car and drives through a long, dark tunnel with light flashing at him intermittently. He takes care of some private business and heads back to the hotel, where a woman is waiting for him in the dark. He lies down and she talks to him. He closes his eyes and tries to imagine he is somewhere else.
5. Someone is being punished for something they didn’t do. They’ve accepted the futility of their situation, but there is someone else who hasn’t. It feels like something that should never have happened in the first place.
6. All I can think of is the beginning of a sequel to Shaun of the Dead, where footage of people going about their dull, everyday lives is accompanied by the opening credits. The zombies take over in a country/region where they hadn’t last time (possibly America) and Shaun and Liz make a cameo towards the end as the Skyping internet consultants of a pack of survivors who came into contact with them due to their prior experience.
7. A cowboy-esque figure is wandering around, nothing in particular in mind. He doesn’t feel anything. He’s just waiting for something to happen.
8. A young girl is sick and reading a book in her bed by the moonlight from her window. At this point it’s mainly just staring at the pictures with a futile longing in her stomach. She starts feverishly drifting off and begins to hear such fantastic sounds that she forces herself awake again and tries to make it to the window. She’s sure the noise is coming from outside. Being very weak and having a large room, she finally gets there and is immediately entranced by she sees in the night sky.
9. A nameless person is running from something. They run for days, across all sorts of landscapes and in all types of weather. They are exhausted but cannot stop. They suddenly run through a shadow and disappear, leaving whatever was chasing them frustrated.
10. An empty hospital. It doesn’t seem to be abandoned, there just aren’t any people in it. It stops short of being creepy but maintains a certain level of strange. There's no end to it in sight.

Date: 2011-06-09 03:13 pm (UTC)02. I'm thinking of a Gladiator, about to go into the arena. He is the best and the bravest and strongest Gladiator there ever was, but he is still afraid. This is his personal anthem. By the end he is ready, goes into the arena and slays everyhing in his way.
03. To me, this is incredibly beautiful. It talks about a beautiful night, spent with friends, drinking wine, laughing. There is no fear, no uncertainty, just the comfort of pleasant company. No one thinks about the future or all the crap in their lives. It's reassuring, 'everything will be ok' sort of music.
04. A bunch of kids at a rave in the desert, at 4am in the morning. The sun comes up behind the hills and they're still dancing, hopped up on pills and alcohol, sweaty and exhausted, but blissed-out, because they're high and don't notice anything around them. They'll keep dancing til they collapse.
05. This makes me restless. The violins are so urgent, like something terrible is about to happen. Then there is the marching beat in the background. I think it's a beautiful, harmless looking day, somewhere in the countyside - and something terrible, horrible, unthinkable is about to happen and nobody but the music suspects a thing.
06. Medical sounds, intruments beeping. I'm sensing a hospital, a busy emergency room. Everything runs like a well-oiled machine. Patients come in, doctors treat them. The nerves are high, but the professionals stay calm and do their jobs. Let's save some lives today, people!
07. Ahhh, I know this. Or something very much like this. It's a very familiar sequence of sounds. It makes me think of our modern society. People just going about their business, not noticing the people around them. Isolation. But it's not agressive or sad. It's just how it is. I feel like this could be the soundtrack of every-day life.
08. Fairytale music! In a land far, far away, in a time long, long ago... a young princess sits alone in her tower, waiting for her prince to come. She waits and waits. Princes come, but it's never the right one. And in the end she's like, fuck it, and goes out to find her damn prince on her own. They lived happily ever after ;-)
09. The wind in the beginning immediately made me think I'm on top of a tower somewhere. And then suddenly there's chaos all around me. Omg, I'm King Kong, aren't I? On top of the Empire State Building, surrounded by planes that want to shoot me down. I'm scared, there's nowhere to run. So I accept the inevitable and fall.
10. There is a vastness to this music, it gives me the image of wide, open spaces. Freedom. It's as if the music tells you if you wanna be free, just run. Don't let anything hold you back. This speaks of a future without constraints. Just run. Or drive. Or ride. Or fly away in a great big spaceship. Just gtfo out here and be free.

Date: 2011-06-09 03:23 pm (UTC)02. I think of an epic person, a warrior of some sort, riding something. Either a plane or a dragon, on their way to the final battle. Dont ask.
03. I think of a young guy, who has seriously messed something up in his life and is walking down the street reflecting on how to fix what he's done.
04. I see people entering a party they arent supposed to be at so they are like looking around warily and stuffs. But its like a rave so there are lots of colorful lights and dancing people EVERYWHERE.
05. O this is so someone getting ready for battle. Like putting or armor and stuff, getting ready to face their destiny!! They are attaching knives to their belt, lacing up their shoes, that kind of thing.
06. I think of an arabian dance party. Like late at night, in the heat with sand blowing around and LOTS of people. Like a million people all just kinda swaying around an being chic. IDEK.
07. The hero of the movie has just realized what they have to do to defeat the bad guy. And they are then walking to meet him. towards the end of the song, the hero has embraced his fight and is SO READY TO KICK BUTT! Everything I think of is like movie based. wierd.
08. This is a goodbye song. Or a lullaby. Lets combine it. Ok so a Mom or Dad who has to leave is standing over their sleeping child while this is playing, thinking about how they are leaving it, most likely for their child's own good. One last kiss on the head and they are gone.
09. Someone was sitting, in a park near a road and suddenly they sense something. Something bad. And they decide ok now might be a good time to run like hell!!
10. Someone is walking through a warehouse trying to find something, not sure what they are going to find that going to attempt to stop them. Very mysterious and upbeat at the same time. Cool!

Re: Hufflepuff
Date: 2011-06-17 09:36 am (UTC)2. This seemed like some kind of odd juxtaposition- alternating shots of an army advancing onto the field of battle in some miserable, distant land and the nobles or royals, safe at home, hosting a ball in a lavish palace.
3. The one definite image I got from this song was a young girl, perhaps in high school. She's living life, breaking up with her boyfriend, trying new things, getting teased, and making new friends. Mostly positive things, but with a mix of some negative things as well.
4. The beginning is a young man working studiously at a computer and as the song goes on you get to see that he is playing some kind of RPG or game (though more a slice of life than battle-oriented one, perhaps set in a Middle Eastern sort of setting).
5. The setting is a once-beautiful decaying old house which may or may not be haunted. A girl is being seduced by a mysterious man (kind of reminded me of Phantom of the Opera) and doesn't realize the danger she is really in the entire time. She should probably get out of there.
6. This is a trendy club, tons of people packed together and dancing with colored spotlights flashing around in the dimness, while in the background there are all manner of shady goings-on and deals being made.
7. It's a civilization on the verge of complete collapse under the apocalypse. The few survivors have banded together and are lurking about, always keeping a watchful eye, battling any zombie or other undesirable thing that comes around and threatens them.
8. I think of ghost babies. At first I saw this as a baby's view of the world, but then the weird effects came along and changed the song just slightly so that now I picture it as a ghost baby's world- a bit creepy at times but still fundamentally innocent.
9. It's a foggy night at a dark, ancient old castle. The hero slowly approaches it, thinking he hears weird voices but never quite sure. He gets inside and starts to look around THEN SUDDENLY HE IS ATTACKED BY VAMPIRES. They swarm out of the shadows and seemingly empty rooms and lead him on a chase around the castle. He finally makes it outside, but now he hears weird growling noises coming from the forest... I wonder if it's a full moon. ;)
10. I see the pulsing lights of a city at night. Flashing neon signs, headlights making bright solid lines as cars speed down the freeways, streetlights sparkling everywhere. Maybe somewhere like Tokyo or New York. A city that's still busy, even in the late hours of the night.

Re: Hufflepuff
Date: 2011-06-17 02:29 pm (UTC)02. This made me think of Lord of the Rings and the battle at Helms Deep. There are all the elves and men on one side and the orcs on the other. But its the elves and men that I think of, its them thinking of what they are fighting for and knowing they must go into battle for those that they love no matter that most of them will die. As the song continues and the beat gets harder I think of the elves pulling back their arrows and standing there waiting.
03. This makes me think of someone sitting alone and feeling like they are losing their mind, they are hearing voices and grabbing at their head and they start yelling and breaking things as the music gets stronger. Then in the middle the music calms and the person calms down as well but then the music starts to swell again and they start to run through a house and pulling stuff over and getting angry because they can't figure out whats wrong with them. Then the end they resign themselves and they walk out the door.
04. This is like a dance tune. I can see a night club and lots of bodies dancing around. I can picture really bright colors and bodies in motion. There are lots of people but then I can see two people kind of advancing toward each other because they music kind of changes then so its like there are only the two of them and they are dancing back and forth but not touching just testing each other. Then the music really slows and its just the clicking and they are walking toward each other and touching and then they start to dance together and the end of just music and fingers clicking and they kiss.
05. This is a very haunting tune, the opening with just violins is very dramatic and sad. It reminds of me a funeral and someone standing at a coffin. I can see rain but the person doesn't care because they are deeply hurt. Then as the music changes and other instruments come in I can see the person remembering their life with the person who died, recalling memories of them and happier times. then the music just suddenly stops and you know the grieving person turns to go.
06. I started picturing a belly dancer, kind of like an harem room but there is a woman dancing around a single man. As the music just sort of loops you can see her his doing the same and then the music kind of changes and she gets closer to the man and closer and then some sort of music gets funky and the man has stood and started walking toward the woman and shes backing up and then twirling around and they kind of make a path around the room as he progresses toward her and she keeps dancing and moving her hips and he keeps following. But when the music ends you don't really know if he gets her or not.
07. This is very haunting right in the beginning and then it starts getting faster. It makes me think of a western movie for some reason like the Magnificent Seven, I can see the good guys riding horses and the bad guys are like terrorizing people. Then the music changes and I can see a gun fight and then there is a pause and you know a good guy gets shot and then it resumes again and every time there is a pause its someone getting shot and like falling in slow motion. There is gets really heavy and hard and then almost slows and you know its down to two and then is a gunshot and you are left to wonder who it is that won.
Maybe I wrote too much, its too big for one comment - sorry, lol.
Re: Hufflepuff
Date: 2011-06-17 02:30 pm (UTC)08. This reminds me a mom in a rocking chair with a baby. Its very ethereal and quiet and almost haunting maybe I don't almost like she is sad, the little whooshing that come in and out of the song make me think each time she starts rocking faster and faster like she is remembering things and trying to forget. The little eerie part starts with the guitar and you can almost see her crying and rocking. Like the longer the song goes on it seems to get darker and darker. But you can still hear the almost lullaby part of the song throughout but it turns into something else that makes me think when you see the woman at the end of the song, when it kind of really slows and ticks that she isn't really holding a real baby but maybe a doll. Sorry this seems like a dark explanation and possibly triggering to some but that's what I thought of.
09. First it sounds like a wind storm so I think of someone being outside then the beat gets faster and the person starts running like the are being chased. There is almost a crescendo to the back beat of the music that's when you sort of see the feet of the person who is chasing the other one. There's like a beat every other few minutes so you are going back and forth between the two. They you hear what sounds like wolves or people and you know they are getting close to one another and then it gets faster and faster like a heartbeat and they are out of breath but know the have to go on. Then it gets scratchy like and you know they caught one another and they are looking at one another and you hear that heart beat sound and a growl and then you realize its a man and woman and they finally caught each other and then walk together slowly and kiss as the music fades.
10. Very futuristic, Tron like music. Like neon lasers and lights and the vastness of space. This reminds me of Luna and her Dad dancing at the wedding. They are free and flowing and and carefree - that's the feel of the music like nothingness and just feeling the air around you and being calm and peaceful in yourself. Like you in a zen place and nothing can touch you at all.

Re: Hufflepuff
Date: 2011-06-18 05:26 am (UTC)2. This reminds of some kind of action adventure epic battle scene. It has that moment when things are just starting and then it builds up just how the fight scene would in a movie.
3. This song has a more rock/pop feel to it and is more ‘modern’ seeming than the last too. It sounds similar to stuff you here on alt rock or indie rock stations.
4. So far this song is reminding me of Run Lola Run. But that could just because it’s a techno-ish song as is pretty much all of that movie’s soundtrack. Though I guess halfway through it’s sort of like a modern Bollywood movie XD
5. This at first reminds of emo kids. It just seems pretty sad. And then it kinda has a bit of “Close Ecounters of the Third Kind” thrown in for a good mix.
6. This song seems to be the most upbeat out of the previous ones. For me, it seems like it would have been a good fit in the anime Samurai Champloo. And parts of it seem like they’d be really good for montages on crime shows. XD Ok, now it sounds a bit creepy and like it’d be used in some sort of slasher movie and now it’s upbeat again
7. The opening bit reminds me of the opening to another song but I can’t remember which one at the moment. After this opening it seems really futuristic, in my opinion.
8. This reminds me of running. And then it sort of reminds me of a carnival, but a kinda creepy one that you’d see in a horror movie. Or that video of the abandoned Six Flags New Orleans.
9. The beginning of this reminds me of a bunch of wild animals or some sort of weird crazy cult chant. Then it immediately reminds me of someone being chased/hunted down by a crazy cult.
10. This reminds me of either a computer commercial or one for a car. Specifically either of those commercials showing a speed up of their production inside factories. Or even those medical commercials that have people standing there with a bunch of swirly lines around them and a quote about –insert disease here-.

Date: 2011-06-09 10:18 am (UTC)AMAZING music choices, btw!
01. A see someone marching down a prison hall with chains leading from the heavy metal on his wrists and at his ankles. He's wearing a bright orange jumpsuit but I'm only seeing his body and not his face. The rest of the prison is in a dead silence. Even the officers escorting him.
02. I see Muskateers in their trademark blue attire. They're standing, cornered, in the center of a quad together, but only the three of them. The fourth is about to swoop down and join them using a rope and jumping from a building. When he finally joins them, their teamwork (especially the freshness of him joining them) defeats the guards.
03. Modern day. A young woman is driving in her car, her lips red and staining her cigarette. It's raining hard outside. Her car is old but it's functioning well on the expressway. She's getting away? Maybe she just feels like she's getting away. She has short hair. It looks red when light hits her but brown in the darkness.
04. A club. A young woman is walking through the crowd, searching for someone. The bodies are dancing around her, but she doesn't even hear the music anything. The people near her feel like walls she has to push through. She was calm before, but she anxious now. Scared. Her heart palpitating. She feels like she might die there on that dance floor if she doesn't get the hell out.
05. I see teenagers, female and male, standing at the top of a heap of rubble after a terrible battle. Some of them are hurt and bruised, but they're all standing erect. I can see the pain in their eyes, and the pride in their postures. They're ready to take the next step. It's especially seen in their obvious male teenage leader, standing closer to the edge than the rest of them.
06. I see a hacker in a room full of computers. Maybe not a hacker, but he's very advanced in computer knowledge, he speaks the language. I see him moving around in his chair and to other bits of machinery in tune to the music. He's listening to it, he's bobbing his head and tapping his feet. This isn't serious to him, though he's respected for it.
07. I see Sam and Dean Winchester at a foggy cemetary! lol. I see them looking for something that can't be seen, paranoid at every sound, having trouble seeing through the thick fog. Cautious but confident, they continue taking steps, certain to find what they're looking for.
08. A music box opens in a little girls hand. She's knealing on the floor of her dark but beautiful room. The lights are off, as they usually are, and there's a feeling in their air that there's something to be afraid of. I'm not sure if it's supernatural or a little girl's fear of something real being changed into a fear of ghosts in order to feel less traumatized. She's obviously wealthy, though only financially.
09. Busy streets of Japan, near the trains. A man is walking amongst the crowd only to stop and turn around looking like a salmon swimming upstream. He's running, he has to run. There are people after him that cannot catch him.
10. A teenage girl is creeping around her high school. It's prom night, everyone is in the gym with the ugly streamers and the terrible band on the stage. She's wearing a '50s style dress though the prom wasn't themed. She's looking for something. She's creeping around a corner, outside of a staircase. She sees something, but she isn't scared by it. She's completely relaxed, almost entirely unaffected by what she's seeing.

Date: 2011-06-10 05:21 am (UTC)2. This is an extremely epic piece of music, and to me, it evokes images of an earlier time. I see a long rider making a long, hard journey, fraught with peril and desperation, to make it to his destination before it’s too late.
3. It’s late afternoon, modern-day, and I see a sterile lab. There’s a scientist, working on with strands of DNA, and she’s lost in what she’s doing. The DNA is changing color, shifting from orange to red to blue to green.
4. I see a rave, with lights flashing and loud noises, and Sydney Bristow (... I don’t even know, tbh) entering and trying to act casual. She has bobbed purple hair and every step she’s taking is measured and sure, but she’s completely aware of her surroundings.
5. This makes me think that danger is coming, and rapidly, and there’s no way to avoid it. There’s dark clouds in the distance, gathering, and you just know that something is going to go wrong any second now. You can feel it.
6. There’s definitely a technical sort of feel to this. All I can see are computers, and hackers, and information being sent across the internet in some sort of whistleblowing situation.
7. I see a group of people in the late afternoon desert, searching for something that’s been thought to have been lost forever, walking around with expressions on their face like they’ve given up.
8. I see a baby being rocked to sleep by her mother, and a lullaby being sung to her, and porcelain dolls are all around them both. The mother is almost clinging to her baby as she rocks, scared of both the room and the dolls, convinced that the dolls are watching them. It’s all very creepy.
9. I see a guy running through the streets of London, in the winter, being chased by a group of men who are wearing all black and who want to kill him.
10. I see outer space, basically. I see nebulas and stars and planets from a distant perspective, all whirling around and glowing and it’s just breathtaking.

Re: Ravenclaw
Date: 2011-06-10 12:14 pm (UTC)02. This reminds me of something epic happening in a much easier time. As soon as it started, I pictured horses. Or... people on horses to be exact, and a lot of them. An army on horseback galloping somewhere to save humanity, I don't know.
03. Nothing really too specific came to mind, but I pictured a girl walking through a crowded street in slow motion, all dramatic HAHAHA yknow, walking in the opposite direction and getting all shoulder bumped and people side-eyed.
04. Painting in Jackson Pollock style, starting off fairly mellow and then once the beat picks up, I pictured them throwing the paint around and going all crazy with it. Lots of colours, mainly purples and greens.
05. This is probably because I watched a really creepy video on it a while back so whenever I hear eerie music, I think of it straight away but... a horror version of Hansel and Gretel almost. Two innocent children walking into a creepy bloody witches lair.
06. l;slkafksl;afk;a Röykopp <3333 Anyway, because of that steady beat that almost sounds like an alarm, it makes me visualize like... agents of some sort on a time limit to get to a location and diffuse a bomb. Like something out of a James Bond movie haha.
07. While the piece isn't over the top and crazy, I visualize something bad? Like a mass riot, violence on the streets with people generally going nuts. maybe because of the gun shot/missile kind of sound effects in the middle of the song. Definitely not a happy piece, almost like a HUMANS, WHY YOU SO FAILY song.
08. I kind of picture someone in an almost dream like stance? Like everything is blurred and crazy in a field with a music box and someone spinning in circles and this person is just... staggering through, sheepishly smiling at things. Almost like they've been drugged haha.
09. If the Orcs from Lord of the Rings were having a dance party, this would be their ultimate jam. Picturing a huge gathering of creepy looking beasts stamping and waving their weapons, whipping their hair back and forth and doing their... pre war dance. Yes. I went there.
10. Space age... someone sneaking into a huge castle or something. Scaling walls, jumping roof tops like they're on some huge secret mission and need to get inside. The closer they get, the more the music builds up!

Date: 2011-06-18 12:43 pm (UTC)2. Another battlefield, but this time on Earth. The fight has ended and the field is full of dead bodies. A few survivors contemplate this dismal spectacle, while crows circle overhead.
3. I'm picturing someone travelling alone along a lonely road, with just a small bag and their guitar. It's just before dawn and the sun is about to rise. This man has no idea where to go, so there's a bittersweet feeling.
4. This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement from claimants including... :(
5. This music is very haunting. I'm picturing something from over a hundred years ago. A woman is sitting alone in a dimly-lit room, reading a letter. Her hands are shaking because she fears the letter bears bad news, but she doesn't cry.
6. IDK, I'm just picturing vibrant, neon colours for this one, maybe people dancing at night on a tropical beach. But suddenly, aliens attack! They start kidnapping the humans and beaming them to the mothership! The humans must fight for their freedom.
7. This feels a bit like traffic noises to me. A crossroad, or a piece of highway, with cars and trucks flashing by at every time of the day. The lives of different people passing each others by and never quite intersecting.
8. This is quite soothing. It reminds me of a lullaby. A baby falling asleep in his or her crib, in a room of a large mansion. The mansion is creepy, it might be haunted, but the ghost is benign and won't harm the child.
9. A peaceful forest scene, with chirping birds and running water. Then, suddenly, an alien attack! Not happy with what happened in track #6, the aliens are back and this time they aren't taking any prisoners. They start destroying everything.
10. Alien planet. (IDK, I have aliens on my mind now.) Maybe this is the planet the aliens come from. It's very beautiful, with moons and lakes of molten silver and idk what else, but some cataclysm has rendered it inhabitable. That's why the aliens are roaming the universe in search of another home.

Towards the end, I could see it fitting as a montage soundtrack accompanying images of Harry meeting his destiny at the hands of Voldemort, specifically: "The Boy Who Lived… come to die."

Date: 2011-06-18 04:11 pm (UTC)02. This also sounds militaristic in a less than hopeful way. I'm seeing an army, maybe Roman, march to war. But it's not glorious. They're marching out of a city and the streets are lined with people who aren't sure whether to pray for their return or to mourn them already. It's very sad, but it sounds like sadness before the fact.

Date: 2011-06-09 04:59 am (UTC)02. I see a soaring eagle flying over various fields, seeming to me a lot like the image in question! After a while he seems to be joined by his colleagues making the attack even more majestic… and maybe transforming into a dragon somewhere in there.
03. With ukulele strings, for some reason I find myself transported to Hawaii. But for all this time I seem alone, without being able to see beach waves or anything, but for some reason I do feel the tropics in all that… and then the animals come in but I’m still not within seeing range of ocean…
04. What I see here is absolutely nothing like the images given at all. Instead, for some reason I’m looking at a solitary wood block and nothing else… which then dovetails into various anthromorphic wooden creatures which seem to make no sense!
05. At the beginning I see a cloudbreak at the end of a storm followed by a single bird emerging and bursting into song. Then the bird finds his mate and the two start flying or dancing or whatever it is birds do together. Or maybe I see tetris pieces…
06. First I see a thunderstorm except it’s really an alien space ship coming out. Then, all of a sudden the aliens get out of the UFO and immediately start dancing! And finally at the end the alien stops dancing, returns to the UFO and flies away before landing again and dancing even crazier than before!
07. Even though the images suggest war, I actually see the same alien from the previous song dancing – only this time a bit slower and more deliberately. Then the alien grabs a human and starts dancing in formation – enlisting him into the alien tango. And at the end, they go back to the ship, randomly beaming creatures up with them.
08. I begin by hearing and seeing a woodpecker from VERY far away. A bit closer seems to be some type of ringing bells. Later on what I see is someone breathing in and out; maybe this is being put together as some type of meditation?
09. This one sounds exactly like birds chirping and wind whilrling over grass to the point that I almost suspect that I heard a recording of exactly that! Then comes what looks to be aliens, but what I really end up seeing is the invading army I had THOUGHT I had heard eight videos ago. And they’re attacking me – and… HELP!!!!!!!!!!!
10. I have to admit that the laser illustrations made me feel like I was going through space, regardless of the music; what else I 'heard'/'saw' seemed to be dominated more by wind or very light storms.

Re: Slytherin
Date: 2011-06-18 09:38 pm (UTC)01. Deep gold that is swirling, red bubbling down at the surface, and then a string a silver cuts through the gold, almost as if it's one but it's not. Not quite. Silver rises up above the gold, almost as if they're battling. The gold slowly starts to turn to red at the end of the song.
02. I see almost a waltz of shades of blue, which explode into white and fall back back into the rhythm of a waltz. Gliding around one another, slowly spinning, rising, falling. I start to see light bursts of orange at the end until it darkens to red. (this one almost had me in tears. just saying.)
03. Purple, orange, yellow, it's hard to tell one colour from the others, because they're kind of blending. Oh... Oh! Orange is starting to become more dominate of the colours, until it fades into the rest once more. I'm reminded of a sunset with the colours. Orange fades until purple grows darker taking over everything, rising slowly and fading.
04. Pink and yellow jump out almost like balls bouncing around, then the crazy green starts to bounce off them, and here comes the blue wanting to play as well. It's like a dance party with colours, bouncing off one another, playing, moving around one another. There are flashes of white, washing over everything until it's a blank canvas once more. A darker pink starts to bounce into the frame as well again, it's more like a fuchsia, sharp movements with the plucking of the guitar. Green is back along with blue, melding and moving through one another, white is trying to cover them once more, but green is moving, darting out of the path of white. They start to mix, almost fighting one another, until white wins the battle. It's not flat, never stopping it's movement. Almost as if it's a wave moving softly, trying to trap all the colours under it.
05. GOLD AND RED, my God, it's as if the colours are in mourning. They're not as bright as they should be. The gold is kinda of being moved by the red.
06. Green with specks of other colours, though the other colours are mostly random. Green is moving... It reminds me of a record player. It's solid until it melts away, to a puddle of blue. Blue starts to jumps a little... Yellow. Rising and flowing out almost like a ribbon. Silver cuts through it almost like shards of glass. I'm seeing shades of brown, thumping, almost swirling, coming down until it explodes in colours once again. The best way I can describe what I'm seeing in my head would be to say... Wonka's factory and there's a party in that room that's nothing but candy and sweets.
07. Oddly enough, I see black moving as if it were ink. It's fluid, almost as if it's stalking something. You know what, it's moving more like a snake, careful not to move too much, but enough to see a slight glint to it. A splash of red once... twice.... the two colours almost seem to be fighting.
08. This one is always a bit hard for me to describe because I tend to feel it more than see the colours. I do see a pale blue, like drips of water, like a light rain shower. And the darker blues, along with grey and even black, creep in almost. As if they're shadows.
09. Red shooting at me like arrows, with orange raging in the black like a flame. Engulfing everything. This one I feel more like a battle, something bubbling up, mostly I just see a lot of red and orange. Black is creeping in, stalking, moving ever so slowly, as if it were a large cat.
10. Shimmering silver until it splinters out going in to every direction. Bits of the sliver start to turn blue, until darker blue starts to break it up even more. I feel it constantly spinning with the darker blue on top of the silver.

Date: 2011-06-18 05:59 am (UTC)#2: It’s like… traveling over the snow. In a sled swerving all around the smooth surface with more and more urgency and adrenaline wrenching and washing it’s way in and out. The snow would be flying, the air would freeze and darken around me and the story would rise up. Bombarding the surroundings, branches and trees breaking and falling.
#3: I see a dance behind my eyes, two people holding tight to each other, not wanting to let go, swaying with each beat, but completely lost from the music itself. They leave in a car, and it becomes one in many with the traffic flashing in and out. Always going. Always rushing.
#4: I hope no one minds that this is going to be an image of silence, because the video was gone, and then I imagined going to search for it, and then I think I found it:
It’s like a trip along a long interstate highway, just running over the repeating road, again and again. My eyes are following the marks on the road as they repeat: appearing and disappearing.
#5: An empty courtyard. A church on one side with s bells swaying. White doves flying away, lifting into the air, startled by rumbling ringing. The day is bright and filled with light, almost harshly, and the sky is a bright blue. I’m looking for something.
#6: Techno, night club. The strobe lights are flashing multiple colors, and bodies are dancing, within the crowd – you can get completely lost. It’s dark and all jumbled up, but it’s alive and buzzing with energy. You feel as if you can just dance the night away, watching the spots of light spin around the room.
#7: A barren field. A solitary man. He’s only looking forward, walking towards the mysterious horizon trying to find answers in the searing heat. The farther he walks the more hazy it gets even as the earth cracks around him. There are engines pounding, pistons pumping.
#8: A music box. A lullaby child, drifting off to sleep. Enraptured by the softly spinning mobile above her – with soft stars and a crescent moon. In her dreams, she sees a ballet dancer, spinning as steadily as the figurine in the box.
#9: A crowded train station, with people hurrying everywhere, rushing until a wind sneaks in underground, and empties the entire station. All there is, suddenly, is the pounding of footsteps, of a chase in the empty darkness, but it’s all faded figures and undecipherable shadows. People on cell phones above ground.
#10: It’s a rain storm. Sitting inside on the shore of a lake, but instead of the big body of water outside your window, your entire vision is focused on the small puddle forming along the window ledge. Each drop of rain falling in, and falling the pin-balling, colliding patterns traced on the glass.

Date: 2011-06-18 10:19 am (UTC)2) The main melody lifts up the head and pushes me backward on the first beat of the bar. Riding a trireme to open sea towards dawn, the strokes of the oars on the stressed beat.
3) Ooooh this reminds me of riding on the DLR, an above ground driverless subway system in London - through East London. The pace is quick, like a whirlwind tour, past the factories and the airport, seeing a plane take off. Sharp greens and yellows from the guitars and flashes of white from the percussion. Pull into Woolwich Dockyard at the end.
4) I was enjoying that song way too much and nearly forgot to pay proper attention. I was bopping along. Makes me think the time I went on holiday to Majorca as a kid with my sister and parents. We'd spend all day in the pool and in the even we'd run around with the other kids and get up to innocent mischief. Reminds me of the laughter we had.
5)
6)Waaaa makes me think of the last level of Tomb Raider 5 where you're being chased by this cyborg through the level and you have to make all the jumps perfectly, run around the corner, shut the door and gas him. It really freaked me out. The main theme in this song make me feel uneasy like when I was trying to do that level. It improves as the song goes on but just makes me feel relief rather than chilled or anything.
7)
8) Sounds very bittersweet and creepy. Almost like a child lost in a forest or a crowded city, wandering around looking in every nook and cranny for her parents. She's possibly holding a red balloon - the creepiest children do.
9) The starlings at the beginning take me back to my back garden in a summer evening. The change in music definitely takes me to a fight or flight response, possibly a zombie attack - I think that's the intention of the piece. This is heightened by what sounds like a siren part way through that sounds like the siren on the flood defence barrier near my house, so it's a bit freaky!
10) This song reminds me of clubs. Although I know the song is pretty chill, it makes me feel uneasy because I've never been a fan of clubbing an so I feel a little claustrophobic listening - but I'm sitting in the corner, drink in hand, watching the crowds.

Date: 2011-06-18 09:08 pm (UTC)2. The first thing I saw when the music started was an image of a couple — maybe a prince and a princess — dancing together in a huge, empty ballroom, while outside there is perhaps a war or a fight going on. But they are together twirling around and around and for a moment not worried about harsh reality of the outside world.
3. For this one, I started out picturing a woman sitting in a rocking chair, holding a baby in her arms. As the music progressed, I could see the child growing older, perhaps running through the cornfields (I don't know why there are cornfields, but there are). Then a montage of sorts as the child turns in an adult, and then an image of her driving off into the sunset.
4. This one is not there anymore. The link says the video has been removed :(
ETA: Found another one on youtube
This one brings up a picture of a party, because there is a sound that kind of sounds like clapping. Maybe a wedding, a Jewish wedding, where the bride and groom are up on the chairs and people are standing around clapping. Or during the reception when various people are popping into the middle to dance and those around the edges of the circle are cheering them on.
5. I picture a girl, a ballet dancer, alone on a stage in a dark theater. And she is dancing all by herself, not just practicing but using the dance as a way to come to terms with what it is that she is feeling.
6. Right away, the first few beats reminded me of outer space and aliens. So I started picturing something like in Independence Day where they are gathering up all the human population and stockpiling food and clothes so they can go into hiding. And then near the end when the sounds from the beginning start coming back into play, that is when the first aliens start arriving.
7. For this one, the haunting melody of the beginning makes me picture a dark, dreary day. A storm is coming in. And someone is sitting alone, maybe outside, as the storm draws nearer. I would imagine this person is quite unhappy and the nearing storm is a reflection of this.
8. This song automatically just makes me feel sad, and I picture a graveyard, a funeral service, and people mourning, comforting each other, saying goodbye to the deceased person. Everyone is in black and there is just a very sad melancholy to the whole thing.
9. This song is giving me the creeps. I'm picturing a horror movie, where someone is running screaming through the night as Scary Man in a Mask is chasing her. And she's tripping and falling while trying to get away, and the suspense is building and building ... and AHHHHH!!!!
10. Oh, I see another space set movie. This time, though, I see the people up in space — maybe like Star Wars — and there is a battle going on. Lots of spaceships diving and flashes of light — lasers — going every which way. And, of course, a few explosions every now and then :)
