Wand Wood: Hawthorn

Firmness: Reasonably springy

It is said that wands made of Hawthorn are "of great power" and the possessor of these wands "has the potential to wield great power. They are excellent for protective and defensive magic. According to the Celtic tree calendar, Hawthorn is my wood. I'm inclined to agree. I believe my wand would be used mostly for protective and defensive magic since I care for my loved ones a great deal and want to keep them safe. A unicorn's tail hair at the core is usually given to those that are pure of heart and care deeply for their loved ones, and as stated, my loved ones are my main concern. I would want my want to be a reflection of who I truly am. I would want it to be a part of me. I am on the shorter side of average, so I chose a wand of only 9" long. It's shorter than most, but it is powerful. I think that also represents me pretty well.
