Missed me yet? Haha. Well, after just a couple of days, I'm back, and with another fun-filled activity for the whole family to enjoy. YAY.

~TERM XIII ACTIVITY 2~
TRANSFIGURATION CHAINS

Activity Description: I'll give each house an HP image, and then each member would successively change one thing in the picture: enlarge, shrink, color, distort, cutting and pasting another thing onto it, etc. In the end, the image should be rather different from the original, so this should be fun. :)

Mechanics:
• Only post to your own House's thread please.

• Transfiguring "one thing" may constitute: i) a facial/body feature (not the entire body/face), ii) a background object, iii) a piece of clothing. Whatever you do, though, make sure it doesn't affect a very large portion of the image. :)

• If you have an edit conflict with someone who posted their edit before yours, please kindly delete your own comment and post anew. :)

Points: This will have points akin to a long debate: 10pts for the first comment and 2pts for every succeeding.

Extra Points:Remember that I'll be giving out a bonus two points per Transfiguration Book purchased at hh_diagon . Check the roster for details.

Schedule: We begin right now, 9:00PM Philippine Time on january 29. Entries will be accepted until February 05.

Umm...yea...some of the pics are kinda running out of room (as some are taller or wider than others).

Can we add on soem background pixles to the pics so they are all equal to the bigist dementions of the others?

Sadly, I won't let you do that. XD That's one of the challenges you'll have to work around, dear. ;) Besides, it's not all about ADDING stuff to the image, now is it? ;)

true. but while the width of the pics is more or less the same (with in 20 pixles or so) the hight of them are not, giveing some rather more room to work with.

Well, I suppose that's true, but I do have to remark that your house brought it upon yourselves to lose space quickly in the image. :) You'll just have to work with what's already there, dear. Sorry about that. ^^

Well, I was thinking that Slytherin and Gryffindor had looked rather croweded too actuly. Sorry, I guess it just bugs me because I order my graphics by subject and then by size (no, realy, I have folders for all my standered sizes, and then a odd size folder of stuff I cut down to fit my other folders. Yes, I am in fact that anal about it.)

The gryffs have it wrose realy...they have a 124pixile gap in hight, but atleast the width (and the width of the other pics) is close. But slytherins loose on width, heh.

Well, dear, the task is to Transfigure the objects, not too add stuff on them like crazy. That's it. I tried to make the images more or less uniform in size, and it was up to each house to make do with what they had, no more no less. If I had to give in to everyone's request, there'd be no sense of order. I'm testing your CREATIVITY here, not your ability to find something and add it to the picture.

I'm looking for creativity, dear, not exactly good manipulation. XD MSPaint is definitely fine with me, but if it potentially disrupts anything in the activity, is saved in a lossy format, or is done in a way that isn't well thought about beforehand, it won't look very nice now, would it? XD

You know that 2 of the houses pictures are SMALLER than ours right?? I did the math on them.

I didn't see this when i refreshed the page, but it was in my email...and now i do see it...how odd.

Anyway, the pics have at most a 43 pixle width diffrence (slytherin at 337 and Hufflepuff at 380. Ravenclaw at 350 and Gryffindor at 370.) wich isnt too much. how much can you fit in 43 pixles (about 1/2 and inch)

But ravenclaw has a 87-124 pixile diffrence in hight with the others (Slytherin is at -87, Hufflepuff at -107 and Gryffindor at -124.)

1" is 72 pixles, so thats almsot a 2" diffrence for the Gryffs. As I said above, it bugs me because it puts others at a disadvantage all around, and because I'm anal and actualy order my graphics buy subject and then put them into sub folders based on size.

As one who enjoys pixel art: you can fit a fair deal in 43 pixels. That's all I've been doing for Ravenclaw's (okay, except for that banner).

If it helps, Ravenclaw's image hasn't been getting as much editing as the other houses', but I like to think that we're being more conservative about space. Maybe when an eerily similar activity was run last time (http://community.livejournal.com/hh_clubs/571142.html), we learned our lessons.
