Hello and Welcome! I'm Sara your Music Club Leader.

Info & Application
So someone decided to put me in charge of running the music club. So lets get this show club started. Just to be clear the Music Club will not focus on one basic genre. We'll cover all genres of music, from classical to hip-hop to funk and soul. You don't need to be an expert in all genres.

To join simply fill out the application below and post in in a comment here and then get started, no need to wait to be approved here. I would like everybody to fill out the application, even if you were a member previously. This way I know who is active an who is not.

What is your favorite type of music?
Usually I prefer music released by major labels or a major/indie...but there are always some exceptions. And the music I like depends more on the artist than the genre. For example, I wouldn't typically listen to gospel music, but the latest Jonny Lang album stayed in my CD player for a month straight. And I love Ben Folds but not so much Dave Matthews. I also base my liking of artists on their overall image, who their target market is, and what kind of marketing has been done for them. Sounds strange to most people, but I have been taught to consider more than just the music.

Who are some of your favorite Bands/Singers/Music Artists?
Right now? PLACEBO, Mika, Regina Spektor (before she was even signed to a major and was "commercialized" thankyouverymuch. And yes I can be a music snob like that. ^_^ ), Silverchair, Ben Folds, Jonny Lang, Sublime, Mindless Self Indulgence, Dead Milkmen, X Plastaz, Rufus Wainwright, Ani Difranco, Indigo Girls, The Police, Sex Pistols, The Ramones, Hanson, Josh Turner, Maroon 5, Pink, Justin Timberlake, Fiona Apple, Joss Stone, Gym Class Heroes...there are more, but I'm done thinking for now.

What is your favorite music era? (ex. 50's, 60's, ect.)
I'm not going to get on my soapbox about how live performance is a lost art nowadays and how music was better in the 70s. But I will say that music from the late 1960s and 1970s was incredibly innovative...and more of my style.

Is there anything you would like to see in this club?
Not particularly.
