Right, we had three quite spiffinh, fleshed out, entries!
Time to vote! No self-love and remember, you're voting for the game we're going to be playing next month.
Shuntbumps!
According to lexicon, Shuntbumps is a wizarding game popular in Devon, England. The goal of the game is to knock the other players from their brooms, in a manner similar to jousting. So there’s either:
VERSION 1
Tournament Style.
Players are paired off and compete in “mini-jousts” with the loser of each game being knocked out. The last remaining two play a final with the winner being crowned… winner. There could be a play-off between the losers of the semi finals to determine third place. Players take it in turns to ask a question (could be anything really… trivia, using canon to justify bizarre pairings (to the satisfaction of the questioner/mod), etc). If a player is unable to answer a question correctly, they lose.
All-in Style
Games are played as described above, except instead of having games with two players, everyone goes in. Players take it in turns to ask a question, going down the line… So the mod asks the first question, player one answers and (if correct) asks their own, player two then answers and (if correct) asks their own), etc. Last man standing is the winner.
VERSION 2
Mod picks a number/character/ship/book/plotline/whatever. Whoever guesses closest to that thing remains in the game. Continue until everyone is dead.
Wizarding Scrabble!
Assign everyone who wants to play 7 letters. Pick an order and assign people teams (if need be). The first person comments to a screened post with their word. Then the second person comments with the next word (and states where it's leading off of or where it's running through, etc etc. This continues until someone wins or everyone quits, lol.
You can keep track of the words either by using a table (though that would probably be quite large) or make a graphic form of the Scrabble board (though that would need to be updated every day)...
The players would have 24 hours to get their word in. Then the next player would have 24 hours for their word and so on.
Third Option
List one character/creature/object and ask the members how it can relate to a second character/creature/object.
