Game of the Month: Something Completly Different
Aim: To guess what the item from Harry Potter that a person is thinking of through a series or 'yes' or 'no' questions.
The Play:
- A post will appear, the person posting will have chosen an item, be it Harry's thumb, or Dobby's sock. The task for you guys is to guess that object through a series of questions that can only be answered with a 'yes' or a 'no'.
- The post itself should be kept up-to-date with a list of questions already answered.
- The person hosting the game should also reply to every comment with, 'yes' or 'no'.
Rules:
- If a person is 'hosting' a game (that is, having people guess an object they've picked) and they don't update their main post in 4 days, the game will be void and I'll start a new one.
- When a person wins a game, in order to be able to create a new post, they will be given moderated posting access.
- The person answering the questions can't really say anything other than 'yes' or 'no'.
- All items must be found within the books
- All items must be tangible (that is, you can touch them. e.g. 'Harry's pain' is not a valid item.
- You cannot ask more than one question at a time.
- For those hosting the game you can't rush and answer lots of questions by one person at once.
- Guessing counts as a question.
- Any Wizarding Games member can join in any game at any time. You must be a member to guess.
Points: 10 points for the first game you participate in, 5 points per game afterwards.
Date: The first game will begin shortly. Games will be played for about a month.
So, what do I have to do now? Keep an eye out shortly for the first post!
Credit: This game is taken from an idetical one played at The White Council. I'd love to see the game played, like, everywhere. But here's a start. (P.S. they're lovely people over there, go talk to them!)
A posting template will be provided when the first game is over.
Any questions, comments, suggestions, etc, reply here!
