The first book you remember reading for fun: Oh god. I learned to read when I was four, so I've read a LOT of books for fun...I remember really loving Bernard Evslin's Monsters of Mythology series, though.

The first book you remember reading for fun: Oh, gosh! I'm not sure my memory goes that far back! Plus, I read a ton of books (per week!) when I was younger. Besides, I read every book for fun, yes, even the ones assigned for school. ;) I suppose the first books that come to mind are Little Women, Black Beauty and The Secret Garden. assuming we're not including things like Little Golden Books or Dr. Suess or the Serendipity series.

The first book you remember reading for fun: The Silly Book. It was my dad's when he was a kid. He gave it to me when I was wee, and it was held together with old tape, and had his name and old address writen in pencil, probably written 40 something years ago. I read it over and over again.

The first book you remember reading for fun: Well, I don't really know. I've read a lot of books for fun, especially when I was little. I guess I'll just put the one I remember reading for fun this past year. It had to be Inkheart and Inkspell. I just love all of the detail and how she actually paints a huge picture and makes you feel like the fire-elves are actually burning your tongue so you can speak their creative language.
PS-I could have sworn I filled out an application before this!

The first book you remember reading for fun: Gosh, I don't know. I've had lots of different periods where I didn't read and then returned to it. The first book I read on my own I was 4 and it was This is My House, but that doesn't quite count. My next desire to read it was Charlotte's Web and then I stopped for a good few years. The next time was the Young Jedi Knights series. Then I stopped again and this little book called Harry Potter made me love reading and I haven't stopped since (Harry turned me into an English major. How dare he!).

The first book you remember reading for fun: Hmm, I read a lot when I was little. I have to say... Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. You may not have heard of it, but it was phonetic and sounded really good, and I loved reading it out loud.

The first book you remember reading for fun: Ship Sooner by Mary Sullivan. It was a great summer read, and it really showed the life of an extradordinary girl in a small town kind of story.
