The first book you remember reading for fun: man, i've been doing it so long that it's hard to remember. i read The Others and all the Goosebumps series back in third and fourth grade, maybe other little baby children stories before that. the first actual book that i sat down and read was probably Love You Forever because after hearing my mom read it to me for so long, i wanted a shot ;)

The first book you remember reading for fun: The very first?? It was a little kid's book. I can't remember the title since it was in a language other than English but I do remember that I was around 5 and the story featured these mice. I might be able to dig up the book but that would mean translating the title. :P

The first book you remember reading for fun: Are you my mother? when I was four...I think. After that, I read anything and everything. Including all the young adult novels at the library (before I was nine)...oh, and the back of the ketchup bottle. Repeatedly.

The first book you remember reading for fun: Mugs.
I just want to add that I will only be able to participate in activities that provide links to books that are available free online, or books that I can find at my local library. Unfortunately I have a limited income and cannot afford to buy a book to participate everytime there's a new book being read. Sorry about that.

The first book you remember reading for fun: Hmm...I know I learned to read in kindergarten, because my mum didn't know everyone else taught their wonder children when they were three. But I think the first real book was James and the Giant Peach in 1st grade. I still love Roal Dahl.

The first book you remember reading for fun: The books my parents read to me and the books I started being able to read to them sort of blur together for me now...I learned to read when I was three. My first favorite book I remember reading was Ordinary Amos and the Extraordinary Fish. It was a great book, I must go look for it and read it again! :)

The first book you remember reading for fun: The Black Stallion series. I loved horses, still do. I would reread the series over and over again. The librarian gave me permission to check them out in the first grade even though they were in the "big kids" section of the school library. Apt situation for this club.
