Shutterbug Society: First Assignment

Welcome to the first activity for the Shutterbug Society. We're really excited to have this club up and running, and to see such a wonderful response. If you haven't applied, you can still do so here. Please note that you must apply before you can participate in our activities. You do not need to wait for a comment or approval though, once your application is posted you are welcome to join in the fun!

On to the first assignment!
Assignment #1: House Plants


Your first assignment, should you choose to accept it will be to photograph plants which embody the traits of each of the houses. For example, if you saw an ivy climbing up a tree to get closer to sunlight, you might photograph that for Slytherin house. Or, perhaps in the neighborhood park there is a very old and wise looking tree that makes you think of Ravenclaw house. To make sure that you are looking for qualities and not just colors--this assignment will be black and white!

Requirements
[x] Photos will be black and white
[x] Use of photo-editing software should be limited to desaturation (if you can only shoot in color)
[x] Please include a line or two of information stating which house you are respresenting, and why
[x] Please post LINKS not photos. (So as to not slow down loading time)
[x] Sign all entries with name and house or you will not get credit
[x] You may enter up to 4 photos--one for each house--for points. The first is worth 10, each additional is worth 5. If you submit multiple photos for a single house only one will count for points.
[x] You may post as many additional links to photos as you like, but they will not be awarded points.

Deadline: October 12th, 11:49pm EST

This is not a contest. You may share submissions after the deadline, but they will not count for points. Comments are not screened--so that we can all enjoy each other's work.
