hh_clubs | DADA: Weekend info

Hello there ~~my little minions~~ DADA members! I'm terribly sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but at least there was time for more people to comment on the last update. Not everyone did, but I think we should get going on things :)

hh_clubs has been trying to get things organized, as you know, so this was stalled a bit. But it's all good ^^

I've decided that the meeting date will be April 2nd & 3rd. Most people were pretty indifferent, and there was a tie between those who thought April was better and those who thought March was better. So I broke the tie and modified. The weekend of April 2nd will allow our club to grow and members have more of a heads up. That way, the meeting will be more successful and those who can't make it one day can come in the second day or both ;) Also, this gives us room for an idea I had.

Before I was still trying to work out how I would give "lessons". Then I decided that a couple days a week preceeding the meeting I would post info on our term (dragons). You guys can read up, saved any cool pictures I may find, put any dragon books I discover on your reading list, etc.

None of this will be required, but to make sure everyone stays active, I'd like to have a requirement that each one of you post a comment on at least one Official Post. There will be a secret "word" embedded in the Official Post that you will need to put in your comment, that way I will know you read it. You'll know what the word is when you read it ;)

From now until the meeting date (I need a catchy name for these meetings, any ideas?), you all can send me and dragon pictures/info/online things, etc that you may find. You can't post in this community, but instead email your info to me at: shakiracrazy@sbcglobal.net. Anyone who submits anything will recieve 5 points for their house, so make sure you include your username and house :D

Requirements for Submissions:
-If it is information, please copy & paste the info into an email, and include the link. Info must be at least 10 sentences long. You can submit information from more than one source to add up to 10 sentences, but just put it all in one email please.
-Pictures are welcome, but there must be at least 3 and each picture can't be more than 600x600 pixels for those with dial-up. If you can, upload to your own server and include the url (photobucket.com is a good free image hosting site). If not, then just send the urls. You don't have to save the pictures.
-Book suggestions are awesome, but please include an excerpt from the book, a review and/or a summary. Do not give anything away, obviously.
*If you have any other ideas for a submission, just comment and maybe I'll add it*

On to information about the weekend. It will be a bit like a Hogsmeade weekend, but not as huge. This is when the contests will be judged (which I will announce tomorrow), trivia will be asked (which is why you should read those Official Posts :D), debates will be held and all sorts of fun things :) No worries, it will never coincide with Hogsmeade weekend nor over-take it. It's basically our hang-out day, indicating the end of term.

I'll be posting a members list eventually, but I'm still getting new applications. I'll wait until everything slows down ;)
