Welcome to The Divination Club where I, your fearless leader, Boley, shall guide you in some of the most important and well known Divining Arts.



First of all, thank you for your interest in Divination. I have some great ideas and hope everyone is as excited as I am for this opportunity!!

Basics
Let me get to know you!! Since there is OPEN admission to the divination club, this application is only so I can keep track of who is in my club.

Ideas and Plans…(as of yet)

1.) Monthly Divining Art: Every month, I will be focusing on one particular field of divination. We will have one discussion and one contest pertaining to each.
2.) Discussions: I will start each discussing by introducing a pertinent part of divination. I will either post a link to a good website explaining divination, or give a summary myself. At the end of the post will be discussion questions that you may comment to. You may comment to just one question, or all that is offered! Each post with good discussion material earns you FIVE points!! You may also respond and react to comments by others in the club, which will also earn you points. Keep discussions all in good fun!!
3.) Contests: After a good bit of discussing, and I feel our club has a good understanding of the said Divining art then I shall assign a contest!! Points are the same as any other contest in Hogwarts so participation is encouraged!! I will try to keep things simple, and will more than likely ask your interpretations of different “fortune tellers”. (ex. Show a picture of tea leaves, and ask what YOU think is being seen, or what I could tell from that). Contest winners will be based on creativity, sticking to what has been learned, and showing an understanding.

A bit about myself and Divination in General

My name is Andrea, I am 23, and am a college student in Indiana. I have been interested in tarot cards, runes, and other divining arts for quite some time. Although I keep an open mind about what whether or not it’s “really” telling me the future, I just enjoy learning about these things.

And thus, a Disclaimer:
Remember, it is up to you whether you believe these are true methods of telling the future. I know there are a lot of “Herminones” out there that believe this is all a load of bullocks, but just because it may or may not be, does not mean its not fun to study and understand! Just remember: This is all in good fun!! (Just like Cleo.)

True feelings on Divination (be honest!!): I strongly believe in "the beyond". It just depends on who's teaching it/ acting as the medium. A lot of genuine seers are lost with all this Miss Cleo types.

Do you have a particular field (runes, tarot, palmistry) that you would like to see featured? : I'm anxious to learn it all! :P I think runes will be the most fascinating, though.

True feelings on Divination (be honest!!): I think it's a very interesting subject. I'm obsessed with the stars. I do have a few horoscope sites on my favorites list. I do it more for the fun of it, not really the accuracy and truth behind it. I was once told I had no life line on my right palm. And according to the palmistry book I'm supposed to be dead or insane? I think?
Do you have a particular field (runes, tarot, palmistry) that you would like to see featured? : Runes are fun. I made a pouch and I have about 15 or so Ancient Runes in there that I made. I was telling the fortunes of my brothers. They thought I was slightly mad, but it was all in good fun! I'm also a sap for horoscopes.

There is a woman who is a long time family friend that claims to be psychic... and has made a number of startlingly accurate predictions (even one about death O_O). But I'm not 100% certain on the subject. I am interested in it all, though.
Do you have a particular field (runes, tarot, palmistry) that you would like to see featured?: I think tarot is pretty interesting and I've always been curious as to how one actually reads the cards.

Do you have a particular field (runes, tarot, palmistry) that you would like to see featured? : Really, I'm interested in all of it. Even though I think that there are a lot of charlatans practicing these arts, I do think that there is something to be learned from all of it.

Any further comments so I can know you better (age, location, etc): 24, Brooklyn, Gemini sun/Aquarius rising/Sagittarius moon, best versed in astrology (with a little background in some of the less well known astrology systems).

True feelings on Divination (be honest!!):I think Divination is a fascinating subject, and although I don't completely believe in it, I do feel like there is something that governs our lives and that Divination helps to see a bit into that.
Do you have a particular field (runes, tarot, palmistry) that you would like to see featured?: hydromany or pegomancy, cause I love water and I think it'd be cool to see the future in water.
Any further comments so I can know you better (age, location, etc): Well, I'm 17 and in Illinois (Go Illini!). I'm a slash fiend, and I only really knew about those two typoes of Divination from Real Methods of Divination (http://members.fortunecity.com/bitchwill/realmethods.htm) a fabulous Lavender/Parvati oneshot. And I tend to babble, a lot. :)

True feelings on Divination (be honest!!): I don't have 100% trust and belief in it, but I still love it and have always been really interested in it. My friend Helaina first got me into it a few years back, and I have a very open mind about it.
Do you have a particular field (runes, tarot, palmistry) that you would like to see featured?: I'd say Tarot. I have my own deck that I use (featuring goddesses of the world..it's beautiful, and I love it.) and I've always loved giving readings to myself and others, learning different spreads and such.
Any further comments so I can know you better (age, location, etc): I'm 16, and I live in New York, but I'll be moving to California soon. I love music, and Photoshop, and good times. The end.

True feelings on Divination (be honest!!): I find it interesting to read my horoscope, and pretty often I found that these things came true (but just as often also that they didn't). But I don't run my life according to what the stars say. It's just interesting, but not necessary for me.

True feelings on Divination (be honest!!): I've been into various forms of divination for a while now. It's something that I find truly interesting. Most of the things I believe, with the exception of daily astrology which I believe isn't always accurate at times.
Do you have a particular field (runes, tarot, palmistry) that you would like to see featured?: Ever since I was young I've been into astrology; I'm extremely attached to my star sign and I find it interesting to learn about other people and compair their personalities with the description of their astrological sign. Besides astrology, I also own tarot cards and some runes. I don't know as much about those particular fields, but I find them very interesting as well.
