Hi Everyone! I'm so excited to get going on Term XXII and we have a fun activity coming in a few days. In the meantime, I have some info for everyone.

First off, I've finally finished a roster sweep, so anyone who did not participate in an OPS activity last term has been removed. The list of usernames taken off the roster can be found here. But not to worry, you only need to sign the roster again to participate this term.

Second, I've checked in on everyone's bonus items and updated a lot of my points. A LOT of you had bonus points that I wasn't aware of, so be sure to comment on the roster post whenever you get a new bonus item.

If you're wondering when your items expire, you can check the roster spreadsheet. Upcoming expiration dates are highlighted. I try to let people know when their items are about to expire but I can't always get to it.

Finally, I've read through some of your past suggestions and I'm going to be using a lot of them this term so there's an opportunity for extra points. If you have an activity idea, be sure to let me know.

Hi Everyone! Let's round out the term with a good old fashioned secrets activity!

Activity: A Hogwarts Holiday
Points: 10 points participation for a graphic or drabble
Deadline: Friday December 30th 11pm UTC
Details:
It's Holiday time at Hogwarts and most of the students have gone home. You've stayed behind only to discover that the castle is full of secrets!
Create a graphic (900 or less total px) or a drabble (at least 200 words) describing a secret you either saw or experienced during your Hogwarts Holiday.

One of the best things about Harry Potter is that it allows us to create a whole world in our imaginations full of magic, danger and fun. So now's your chance to let us inside your own secret Potter world!

Activity Secret Head Cast
Points 50/40/30/10 for 1st/2nd/3rd/Participation
Deadline: Sunday October 16th 11pm UTC (6pm CDT)
Details Choose five people who represent your Harry Potter Head Cast (how you see the characters in your head while you're reading the books). Include a photo and a brief description of why this person represents a character for you. You can chose people to represent any character you want as long as they appear in the books. I've included an example behind the cut so you can see what I mean.
Rules
- Entries must be anonymous, so please don't use pictures from an account that includes your username (like livejournal scrapbook). A great place to upload pictures is tinypic.com. I can't enter you for voting if your pics aren't anonymous.
Keep pictures to a maximum of 700 px each (length plus width) . For example, you could have 5 pictures that are all 400X300.
- You can choose anyone except for people who were already cast in the Harry Potter films. Real life people are fine with me, but please get permission to post their picture first.
-I don't care about word count as long as you give a good explanation of why these people dance in your head when you read HP.

This is just a quick reminder that you have about 24 hours to submit your entries for the Behind Closed Doors activity. If you've signed up for a character, make sure you get it in by 9/29 at 11pm UTC.

Hi Everyone! Before we get to the voting, let me just say that I'm truly blown away by all your amazing talents! I would love to give 50 points to everyone just for being so awesome! There are a TON of entries, so here's how it's going to go:

I'll give a link to each entry along with any description needed and you can view/watch/listen to/read them all and then vote on your top three. I'm doing this to avoid imploding the universe overloading your computers with a massive pic and video post.

Rules:
-Please look at everything before you vote. There are a lot but none of them take very long to see. Plus they're awesome.

Are you an awesome singer? Maybe you can make great graphics or you can use your foot for a telephone...everyone has a hidden talent and anything goes in this crazy competition!

Avtivity: Secret Talent Contest!
Deadline: Submissions due Monday Sept 12 at 11pm UTC (6pm CDT)
Details: Create a video, text, graphic, photo or other entry showing your secret talent! The talent can be anything, but it needs to be clear what talent you're showcasing. Your submission must be anonymous, so no names and if you can avoid it, no faces so we can keep the voting fair. Please sign your entry with your name and house.
