Activity Name: Broken Resolutions...
Deadline: Tuesday January 22nd. @ 11:59 UTC. Voting for a 48 hour period after.
Points: 1st/2nd/3rd/Participation Only: 50/40/30/10 points.
Details: January's gone, and many of the New Year's resolutions set by the minor characters are falling to pieces. Explain what happened to a character's resolution, and how they became unstuck. Voting will pick the best ones for placement.
Happy new year, everyone! I hope you're all keeping up your resolutions! What's that? You haven't? For shame, I made a resolution to post activities on time and I'm keeping it just fi-d'oh!
Anyway, lateness apologist aside, the activity follows the theme of broken resolutions. It's quite self-explanatory. Write 150 words or so on how a minor character's resolution this year has already come unstuck.
- = The minimum word count needs to be 150 words. It's not a huge ask. If you get less than this, you'll be able to get your 10 points participation but won't get placement. (I'll not be mega strict on words though, because I never am. But it's not a huge amount, etc ;) )
= Here is a list of characters who are NOT considered "minor". Please DO NOT use any of these as your focus character! This is something I will be strict about, and as above, it won't get placement.
= Voting will open for 48 hours after the submission deadline's come to a close. When the time comes, usual voting rules will apply.
= You'll probably want to make it obvious who you're picking, what their resolution is, and what went wrong. Other than that there's no real set format. I'd probably suggest prose paragraphs, but I won't take it personally if you ignore me.
= Are you on the roster? You can get up to 10 bonus item points if you're on the roster. It's quick and painless, and a new term's a great time for a fresh start.
= There are a LOT of minor characters to pick from! Folk tend to gravitate toward the same individuals, and although there's nothing wrong with that we love a bit of diversity round these parts. :)
= Comments are screened, because competitiveness. Please post to your house threads for my personal convenience.
So there you go! Be sure to get your submissions in in time, and then we'll be able to get votes up promptly. Best of luck x
