You are trying to do an assignment about tea leaf readings, but as everybody has come up with the same idea, you notice the school supplies are running dangerously low. You instead have to settle for nettle tea. A friend, who is busy with Potions homework- asks you what it tastes like, and is curious if any of the nettle properties have made their way into the prediction. Intrigued with this idea, you thumb through an old copy of the Daily Prophet, and find an advertisement for unusual brands of tea. Tempted, you go to the Owlery to order a set to your common room.
Activity: Teabags & Testimonies
Points: 10pts for opening submission; 2 points for responses.
Deadline: 30th January @ 11:59PM UTC.
Details: The tea leaves have run out! The brand we usually use is out of stock, so we're going to buy some more. Design the packaging to a new box of tea for 10pts, and for 2pts add testimonials from satisfied customers.
Here's the rundown:
Please design an eye-catching packaging for a new brand of tea. It can be any sort of tea, regular, herbal, fruit, fusion, wizarding, whatever you please! 10 points for doing so. Please make sure the graphic isn't more than 800px in combined dimension. Freel free to make more than one if you enjoy this, but you'll only get the 10pts once. Following on, other people please reply with short testimonies about how this brand of tea is the best you've ever tasted, and how it's way superior to whatever you drank before! These don't have to be very long, and will be worth 2 points apiece. Fifty words (ish) should cover it. You may only hit a max of 20 pts for this part, so to hit the cap of 30 for this activity, you need to do both. We want to be buying the best brand of tea on the market, so make sure these testimonies really motivate our shoppers to convert to it for keepsies! Satisfied customers are always a good indicator of a product, not matter how.... flowery their descriptions might become.
That's the bare bones of it. If you'd like to make something more detailed and magic-based, that's awesome, too (what would tea with an infusion of dried unicorn blood be like, for example?) Feel free to use any resources you like.... or just go for things that sound tasty. It's all good. :D
Usual reminder about the Roster: there's no grace periods with this, so make sure you're on it! The roster is below.
Also, I'll be starting up a nice thread that offers resources, should anyone wish to use them. These can be anything you like- bases, inspiration from real packaging, even ingredient combinations, or magical properties thereof. I figured it may be useful, though of course there won't be points from it. :)
That's it! Have fun! The results of the 2012 Predictions will be up later today or tomorrow. :)
