Shortly after a long, deep session with Firenze, you find yourself considering the depths of time and eternity in an alarming way. Looking around, you see your friends also in a similar mindset, surprised by its gravity compared to the usual shallow experience within Divination. Heading to lunch, you decide to mark this point in time so the unknown future will have some way of knowing what life was truly like back here, this instant.
Activity: Time Capsule
Points: Participation Only - 10pts
Deadline: 29th December @ 11:59PM UTC.
Details: 2011 is drawing to a close! To look to the future, submit something an object that will commemorate the year gone by.
Here's a nice simple activity to see the year out. It's been a very long year for all of us; heck, I think it's been almost twelve months. And a lot of things have happened in that past twelve months. On a world scale, on a personal scale, in the media, and at Hogwarts.
How are we going to remember all of this? I'll tell you how: we're going to bury a time capsule! =D
♥ Please submit an object you wish to bury. It can be a personal keepsake, something symbolic of an event, or something related to a memory you just want to treasure and be remembered.
♣ Please also provide a couple of sentences on why you're submitting this. Just so I know you're not just clearing out your bedroom into my specially-designated landfill. Just a mini show'n'tell. :P
♠ I'd like to put one restriction on it, though: the item must be able to fit inside a large time capsule. Of course this is subjective (time capsules can be this big, after all), but apply some reason: I'm sure you love your neighbour's pet pig, but it probably wouldn't fit in a capsule very well.
♦ Yeah, try not to let the image be TOO huge, please. Just cos y'know. This post can become very image heavy, which can suck bandwidth like something that sucks realllll hard. Feel free to talk to one another and share memories, though such commenting won't get any additional points.
Here's another box for you!
And that's it! Happy burying! Have some awesome holidays- no matter what you celebrate, even if it's just ritual gluttony- and I hope to see you again in the new year, some time before the world ends!
