Aside from the obvious that large amounts of fandom would be happy, one thing that would have happened if Fred had lived is that one of the other Weasley's would die. It is doubtful that all the Weasley's would have lived through the war, so one could assume that another Weasley would perish. Fred and George (had they both lived) probably would have gone on to keep the shop open and become even more successful. Also, Fred living would likely mean that he and Angelina Johnson would have stayed together. George and Angelina would never get together and have children, which could change a lot of what happened after the war.
