Mrs. Norris was never just an ordinary cat. Oh no. Mrs. Norris was originally Helen Norris, a regular old witch from Nottingham. Regular until she got stuck in her animagus form. No healer she saw could reverse the effects, and so she lives with her brother, Argus Filch, at Hogwarts and roams the castle until a antidote can be discovered.
