So there are a lot of thoughts about what Voldy's Patronus would be... most of them are similar so it looks like if we were in a sorting community it would probably win, however we are in a contest and value the logic behind the responses. So there are a lot of entries but vote for who best articulates their ideas or really for anyone you want... lol
Entry 1.
Voldy's Patronus is the Sorting Hat.
Why : I had to think about this one for a bit, but when it came to me, I was really certain that this was it. The Sorting Hat! It's not an animal, but it's a magical creature of sorts, and it's absolutely perfect for Voldemort. Just think of it, one of the first parts of his experience at Hogwarts. The hat paid attention to him, it listened to his thoughts and his aspirations, really focused on each aspect of him. And on top of that, it assigned him to the first place he ever really, truly belonged - Slytherin House. The start of all of his dreams, his ambitions, and his path in life. Thinking of the Sorting Hat, and of the ambition and cunning it recognized him, Voldemort would always feel a sense of warm familiarity, and definitely many happy thoughts. Animal or not, Voldemort's patronus is absolutely the Sorting Hat.

Voldy's Patronus is: Nonexistent
Why: This is only a theory that I have made up on the basis of little else besides my own gut feeling and vague scraps of evidence, but I strongly feel as though Voldemort wouldn’t have had a Patronus at all. Despite the fact that Tom Riddle was a bright, charming student who doubtlessly expanded past the level of intelligence Witches and Wizards his age were expected to have in his years at Hogwarts, I’d be willing to bet that learning magic such as the Patronus Charm would have been what he considered ‘under his level of selected expertise’.
As we all know, Hogwarts doesn’t teach students about magic such as Patronus Charms even by the seventh year, and although Dumbledore often hints to the idea that young Tom Riddle enjoyed learning a lot of illegal magic, it seems highly unlikely that Tom Riddle would have bothered with something as ‘light’ as the Patronus Charm. In much the same way that Riddle forgot about the healing powers of Phoenix Tears in the Chamber of Secrets, or the way he forgot about House-Elves being able to Apparate out of The Cave that he hid his Locket Horcrux in, Voldemort would have simply believed that Patronus Charms were of no importance to him. Even learning it to show off in Defence Against the Dark Arts might have not appealed to him, since he was already secretly dedicated to the Dark Arts.
He might, however, have been right in thinking this. If the rest of my theory isn’t too abstract to be possible, then by extent he wouldn’t have needed to learn the Patronus Charm at all. Although what I am about to elaborate upon might seem a bit far-fetched, I hope the scraps of solid (canon) facts that I relate to are enough to make this theory believable – at least to some people. Knowing that Tom Riddle might not have met any Dementors until he started to properly take over England as the Greatest Dark Wizard of all time in the 1970s, from ages eighteen (when he left Hogwarts) to around forty-five (when he started to become a threat to England) he still would have had no reason to learn the Patronus Charm.
By forty-five Tom Riddle has already killed at least seven people (his father, grandparents, Moaning Myrtle, Hepzibah Smith, a Muggle Tramp & an Albanian Peasant) and this isn’t even counting the people who have died at the hands of his faithful Death Eaters, so as you can imagine his soul would have been pretty shattered by this point. It is my belief that when Lord Voldemort finally came across Dementors for the first time, the creatures in question would have had no affect on him for many reasons. His soul was shattered, the sight of the Dementors taking over England would have elated him more than anything, and because he thrived on this fear and negative energy, the Dementors would have ignored the little soul he had left so they could continue looking for better (fearful) prey.
This, of course, isn’t addressing the fact that Voldemort would have soon ruled the Dementors at that time in the early 1970s, offering them the souls of hundreds of innocent people instead of just the few Azkaban Prisoners that they were able to traumatize under the Ministry’s eyes. Just like in 1996 when the Dementors begin to breed across Muggle London and England (causing the summer to be misty and gloomy with the Ministry unable to help it) it’s very likely that Voldemort would have had full power over the Dementors, amongst many other magical creatures, by this time.
To finish this theory off, I must also add that with the creation of the Dark Mark tattoos on the forearms of the Death Eaters, Patronus Charms wouldn’t have been used as a way of communicating for Voldemort and his followers.
It’d be a shame if so many Witches, Wizards, and Muggles lost their sanity to the Dementors just because their souls were whole and pure (unlike Voldemort’s), yet it seems pretty likely. Voldemort might, however, have thought that nothing but his own greatness stopped the Dementors from trying to steal his shattered, broken soul.

Voldy's Patronus is Nagini
Why :I was going to try to go with a silly patronus since silly answers often win, but I'm going to be serious here. Voldemort seems to value very few things in the world beyond himself. Wait, scratch that, he pretty much only cares about himself, with the exception of one thing: his snake, Nagini. He uses her for his spells, he keeps her at his side, and he speaks with her probably far more than he does with any humans. He even went so far as to turn her into a horcrux, something he would not have done to just anything. He seems to care about her, not only as a symbol connecting him to his illustrious ancestor and a container for his soul, but as a companion of sorts. He might even love her, in a twisted way. As patronuses often take the form of those we love (see Tonks, Lily, and Snape), it makes sense that Voldemort's patronus would take the form of the one thing in the world he loved other than himself: Nagini.

Entry 3.
Voldy's Patronus is a snake
Why : It seems very hard to believe that Voldemort has any emotions left in his body after he converted everything that was even remotely human to producing seven Horcruxes. However, in looking at his behavior, one can see that while he’s completely cruel to his employees and everyone else (even those that – like Bellatrix Lestrange or Peter Pettigrew - would do anything for him), there is one circumstance where he still shows signs of humanity. Whenever he’s talking to snakes, such as the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets or his pet Nagini, he shows loving and human compassion that one would have thought was long gone. Therefore, I believe that as serpents and snakes are the only things that bring out the real Tom Riddle from the shell he presents himself as 99.97 percent of the time, his Patronus, if it exists at all, has to be one of them.

Entry 4.
Voldy's Patronus is Bunny
Why : Voldemort's Patronus is a little floppy eared bunny rabbit. Yes, it's true. A cute, little peter cottontail. We all know the story of how Voldemort had a child's pet bunny hang itself from the rafters when he was in the orphanage. Well, that bunny never left him. He only did it because that child was mean to him. In reality, Voldy used to take it out and play with it and pet it and cuddle it. Bunnies were, and are, Voldy's favorite animals. They're so cute and innocent, even though he isn't. In fact, Voldy even has a secret bunny room in Malfoy Manor and he spends most of his days in there. The fact that his Patronus is a bunny is the very reason that Voldy had to get the Dementors on his side. Could you imagine how his followers would laugh if they realized that his Patronus was a bunny? They would laugh and laugh and laugh, just like when Draco told everyone that he had learned how to use the potty. The most powerful Dark wizard can't have his followers, and others, laughing at him, now can he? No one would ever do what he said. And so, the Dark Lord's Patronus is a representation of his greatest love of all : bunnies.

Entry 5.
Voldy's Patronus is a dragon.
Why: I would say Voldemort's patronus is a dragon because they are large, powerful beasts and while they aren't inherently evil, they seem to get that reputation a lot. Voldemort didn't begin as evil, though I do believe he had a certain predilection for violence. Events in his life pushed him in that direction just as like with dragons. They don't start as evil creatures, but being put in certain situations can lead them in that direction. While Voldemort might feel a certain affinity for snakes, I really think a dragon is a more likely form. It is said that no matter how hard you try, it is impossible to tame a dragon. The same is true for Voldemort. Dumbledore did what he could to try and stop the direction Tom Riddle was going in, but it was too late and by that point in his life, it was his nature. Dragons, like many wild animals may appear tame in their youth but won’t spare a second thought to turning their keeper into a meal if they are hungry.

Entry 6.
Voldy's Patronus is a snake. Specifically, I think a Python
Why : This was actually somewhat obvious to me for a few reasons. First of all, Voldemort is a partseltongue. He obvious has a connection to snakes, which he has had since birth. This is a rare trait as well, something very few wizards have and he was well known for it. Secondly, HE HAS A GIANT PET SNAKE. Harry's patronous is a stag, because he is connected with his father. Voldemort doesnt really care for anyone but that snake. It is the thing in life he is most connected to and most attached to. Also, a snake is a very attention demanding animal. I know if I saw a snake, I would be frozen on the spot with fear and not know what to do. I wouldnt take my eyes off it for fear of it attacking. This is very much the same kind of presence Voldemort has when he appears. He causes people to be paralyzed with fear (or they atleast freak out so bad that they run the other way) and then BAM. They are dead. Which also reflects the deadliness of a snake. A big python could kill something (or someone) in a matter of secons if it really wanted to. Helloooo Voldemort is known for his "no mercy, I kill you because you are annoying" personality. Overall, I think he would have a python patronus.

Entry 7.
Voldy's Patronus is a snake.
Voldemort’s Patronus is a snake. Whilst this is a rather obvious answer, it is the best fitting one. For one who relied so heavily on Nagini, and personified Slytherin House, what else could it be?
For a start, snakes are strictly carnivorous, swallowing their prey whole, mirroring Voldemort’s attitude and behaviour towards people outside the Death Eaters. This shows a level of ruthlessness, self-sufficiency and a need to be at the top – all neatly link in with Voldemort and his sensibilities.
Like Voldemort, snakes move in a very graceful and discrete manner, without the need for limbs. Whilst Voldemort can fly, snakes undulate across the ground, flexing left and right to achieve forward motion. When watching Voldemort fly, he appears to echo those movements, though in a subtler manner.
In Egyptian history, snakes have been used for murder, most notably by Cleopatra. Greek mythology associates snakes with deadly and dangerous antagonists; whilst in Hindi culture, snakes are believed to be able to take any form, preferring human. Bathilda Bagshot anyone?
It’s not hard to see the connection between Voldemort and snakes, and even easier to understand why they’d be his Patronus.
Thank you and good night.

Entry 8.
Voldy's Patronus is a Perentie
Why : The perentie is one of the world's largest lizards, ranking #4. They belong to the family of the monitor liards who, in general, are extremely intelligent. The perentie is said to be the smartest of the lot. Its home is Australiam, the continent with the most venomous creatures amongst the world, meaning that guy is quite badass!
This lizard also shows many traits of Slytherins. They're not aggressive, their self-preservation is very strong, and they will only attack if cornered. However, if cornered, their defense is fierce. A perentie will use its claws, lunge forward and bite, and also make use of its quite strong and muscular tail which it will use as if it were a whip. Their bites are also slightly poisonous. Usually, though, a perentie will either freeze, as in "play dead"/try to merge with its surroundings, or run. Before they attack, they will hiss as a last warning. They're extremely fast runners, too, and are capable of doing so on their hindlegs alone. To survey the area they're in, they stand on their hindlegs, which is called tripodding. The only animals, aside from humans, dangerous to perenties are packs of dingos. Packs! Furthermore, it is said in Australian folk lore that the perentie is immune to the bite of venomous snakes.
As I mentioned above, their self-preservation is strong. In wildlife, you very rarely come across one of these beautiful creatures, as they will instantly go into hiding.
The perentie is depicted in Aboriginal art, and was very important to them, not just for sustenance, but also as a totem. It was part of a Dreaming, and its fat was used for ceremonies or medecine.
Basically, this animal fits Lord Voldemort very well. It's stealthy, has a high self-preservation, knows how to disappear quickly, and is said to be immune to snake venom! Its whole behaviour is very cunning, and it is very smart.
Size: 1.75 to 2 metres (5'9 - 6'7), but may grow up to 2.5 metres (8'2)
Weight: up to 15kg (33lbs), sometimes even 20kg (44lbs)
Build: lean
Word Count: around 300 (sorry!)
Entry 9
Voldy's Patronus is a Honey Badger
Why : Despite having a name that links them to the mascot of Hufflepuff, Honey Badgers are more closely related to Weasels. They are fearless animals, scared of no one and prey on other animals ranging from squirrels to poisonous snakes, and have even been observed digging up HUMAN BODIES to eat (in India). Though they are relatively small, they can easily wear out much larger animals that might threaten them. They're independent, terrifyingly intelligent (they're one of very few animals that are smart enough to use TOOLS like logs in their attacks on other animals) and eat EVERY PART of their prey (including bones). Their skin is hard to penetrate, making them difficult to kill, and there are instances of them resisting death by MACHETES. One of the only efficient ways to kill them is by clubbing their heads, which requires that you get entirely too close to their faces for comfort. In 2002, a few years after Voldemort was defeated, the Honey Badger was named The Most Fearless Animal In The World by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Entry 10.
Voldy's Patronus is cobra
Why : Voldy has a strong connection with snakes. First of all, he belongs in Slytherin, which is represented by the snake; he is also a parseltongue; his ability to talk to snakes means that he is able to communicate with them on a deeper level, and able to befriend them. This is shown through his friendship with Nagini. He is able to control, and even buries part of his soul within her.
I chose a cobra in particular because they are veminous. Voldemort is about as poisonous as you can be. I believe he would also fight with poison – as with Nagini in the Chamber of secrets – and use that to defend himself against Dementors. But since he has split his soul so many times, he doesn’t really have a soul to defend from them.
He also looks snake like. He has slit eyes, and his skin is scaly, and tinged green. He has all the characteristics of a snake, and therefore it makes sense that his patronous would be one.
Word Count (at least 150): 172
Entry 11.
Voldy's Patronus is a bunny rabbit.
Why : There is a reason why nobody ever sees Voldemort conjure a Patronus, and thanks to his fortunate affinity with Dementors, he has never had any particular reason to create one.
Anybody who knew the first thing about him would surely assume his Patronus would be a snake, or some kind of serpent. They would not expect it to be a fluffy bunny rabbit. It is an adorable little creature, one with a twitchy nose and sparkly dark eyes and perky ears.
He first conjured it in his dormitory, with one other Slytherin boy watching on. The other boy had laughed and asked why it was a rabbit. Riddle, for fear of losing face, had placed a memory charm on the boy to forget the incident. Nobody knows about this rabbit.
The truth was: whenever Voldemort saw the rabbit, he saw Death. More precisely: control over life and death, and the control he possesses. For the bunny Patronus would not frolic happily, but rather drifted forward by the scruff of its neck, dangling like a pendulum, or a condemned man being cut down and being dragged through a village on the back of a cart.
The rabbit it is based upon was buried a long time ago in a plot in London, the flesh rotting to bones, the bones interred when the grass was dug up to make way for offices. The bones had been incinerated; a chain of beautiful destruction he had instigated.
Its likeness had been his first murder victim; the rabbit had belonged to Billy Stubbs at the orphanage. Voldemort would see the rabbit and recall the earliest memory he had of controlling life through magic, and considering his life to come, what could possibly be more joyful to behold?

Entry 12.
Voldy's Patronus is a serpent
Why: I know it sounds pretty cliched, but I believe that Voldemort's patronus would be a serpent. Voldemort obviously has an affinity for snakes; he speaks Parseltongue, and associates with both Nagini and the basilisk. Also, his appearance is described as snake-like ("a nose that was as flat as a snake’s with slits for nostrils", GoF chapter 32; "his terrible snake-like face white and gaunt"; OotP chapter 36). The final reason why I believe that Voldemort's patronus would be a snake is that the patronus often takes the form of something/someone that the person loves or has some attachment to (e.g. Snape's doe, Harry's stag). While Voldemort is apparently incapable of love, the one thing he does value more than anything else is his own life and immortality. In several different cultures, serpents represent life, death and rebirth, due to the shedding of the skin. Thus I think the most likely option for Voldemort's patronus is a serpent.
Word Count (at least 150): 157
Entry 13.
Voldy's Patronus is himself
Why : I believe only Voldemort would be inclined to have himself as a patronus. He already believes he is infallible and that his mere presence is enough to scare people into doing exactly what he wants, so why not Dementors too?
Not to mention the fact that he had control over the Dementors from Book 5 onwards, he would have had to have more pull than the promise of all the souls the Dementors could have? It wasn’t certain that Voldemort would be able to carry through on his promise and not that he cared if it did or not, there would have had to have been something else to sway the Dementors.
I believe if the Dementors had seen that Voldemort’s patronus was indeed himself they might believe that he was able to follow through on his promises of all the souls they could suck.
I also think that Voldemort’s patronus is himself because he is the only happy memories he has – his power, his followers, his thirst for vengeance would all lead me to believe that yes, indeed his patronus is himself.
Word Count (at least 150): 183.
Entry 14.
Voldy's Patronus is a brown bear
Why : Brown bears are big powerful creatures that many people are afraid of and I think that the Dark Lord would appreciate that, if not fully understand the animals. It is perhaps a superficial representation of his own opinions of himself the bear being feared and yet showing similar behaviour patterns to the Dark Lord at times. They are nocturnal, preferring darkness to light as I would think the Dark Lord does, they are solitary creatures like the Dark Lord, who while he has followers, has no friends. Furthermore, brown bears can be very intimidating to those who come across them, causing fear upon sight, another trait I think the Dark Lord would admire and relate to and he would appreciate the intimidation created by the appearance of his patronus. I believe the Dark Lord would see it as a matter of pride that his patronus was a large powerful and dangerous creature and that he is a powerful enough wizard to believe himself to be represented by such a creature until his patronus is manipulated to do so, whether the animal would have been his original representation or not.
Word Count :189
Entry 15.
Voldy's Patronus is a scorpion
Why: Scorpions are associatiated with transformation and melding life and death. Death is required for rebirth and people associated with this animal are strong and inspiring. All of these things fit Voldemort, I think, perfectly. He has transformed himself through his search for immortality and found a way to live on past death. He had no qualms about killing people in his efforts to make horcruxes and he had Cedric killed just before he was fully reborn at the end of Goblet of Fire. Voldemort was a very powerful wizard, fearing only Dumbledore, and inspired many people to follow him (whether out of fear or because they truly believed in his philosophy). Also, ancient Egyptians considered the Scorpion a symbol of darkness and that's certainly what Voldemort became to the wizarding world. He plunged himself into the Dark Arts and used it to terrorize people in an atmosphere of fear and worry, often represented by gloomy weather and darkness.
Word Count (at least 150): 158
Entry 16.
Voldy's Patronus is a Snake
Why : Voldemort's patronous was indeed a snake. The darklord would not have picked anything less. Everything in his life screamed snake, even before he was sorted into Slytherin he had an affinity with serpents. The darklord’s affinity with snakes moved toward his house, his appearance, his horcrux's and his pet Nagini. He even relied on snakes to live while he was without a body. Voldemort may not have been they type to rely on a patronus to communicate or to ward of Dementor's because they would have been aligned with him. The mist from his wand would have no doubt formed a snake, striking fear in the hearts of his enemies, reinforcing his own powerful demeanor. Voldemort’s greatest fault and fear was love, so he would not have used an animal that was cute or cuddly would he? He would have used an creature that was his evil incarnate. He was a proud Slytherin, a noble ancestor of Salazar himself, nothing less than a snake would have been used as his patronus.
Word Count (at least 150): 168
Entry 17.
Voldy's Patronus is a pile of dead Muggles
Why : This is the personification of his greatest wish- to rid the world of Muggles and remove their influence from magical society. We see this in the new Ministry of Magic that is under his rule during the Deathly Hallows: a sculpture representing tortured and stripped Muggles, in their "rightful place" under the feet of those with magic. I believe that Voldemort picturing such a sight in his head during difficult moments would help give him confidence (and maybe even visual motivation to kill more people). It is dark and twisted, and certainly disturbing, but that fits with his personality even more, since it does not seem like he places limits on what he will do to achieve his goals. His patronus would have to be something in the extreme, to match with his personality, and I believe visualizing the end result of his hard work would make a very useful patronus for him.
Word Count (at least 150): 153
Entry 18.
Voldy's Patronus is a basilisk!
Why: Voldemort's patronus is clearly some kind of serpent. He is a parselmouth and he strongly identifies with his Slytherin heritage so the idea of anything else is simply preposterous. But why a basilisk in particular? Basilisks are the kings of serpents and Voldemort fancies himself a king among wizards, the most powerful of the powerful. He wouldn't identify with or feel protected by anything less. He also had a very positive childhood experience with a basilisk, an experience related to his illustrious ancestor (and we know from Harry and Snape that one's patronus can be strongly related to a loved one or family member). The basilisk protected him and helped him carry out his plans. While basilisks strike terror into the heart of most wizards, to Voldemort they represent superiority and power. These are the things Voldemort values most and these are exactly the things that a patronus should represent.

Entry 19.
Voldy's Patronus is a ________________
I feel that Voldemort is certainly powerful enough to create a Patronus, and although his thoughts may not be particularly pure or lovely, they are happy enough to enable this spell to work. I think Voldemort's Patronus would be something that could protect him physically, but would also define his wishes and desires for the future. I therefore believe that his Patronus would be the snake Nagini. This is because a massive snake would be a great protector - she could hiss fiercely at the dementors and scare them away! She would also be protecting Voldemort's life plans, as Nagini is also a Horcrux. She represents Voldemort's plan for immortal life, and it would make sense that his Patronus would have some form of individuality and autonomy, given that Voldemort is not a complete person as he split his soul so many times.
More generally, a snake Patronus would be fitting as Voldemort certainly identifies with snakes, and has some of their characteristics, such as his Parseltongue ability. He chose to have Nagini as a familiar, and even used her venom in a potion to keep him alive.

Entry 20.
Voldy's Patronus is an anaconda
Why :I think it seems quite likely that Voldemort's patronus would be some sort of snake. The reason I picked an anaconda is because of Nigini. I don't think we actually ever figured out what type of snake Nigini is. The books always described her as "a large snake". The HP Lexicon site says she a normal, mortal, if very large, snake. So, the largest snake I know is the anaconda.
The reason I thought about Nigini is because she seems like the closest thing to a familiar that Voldemort would have. He does seem to enjoy her company...if he can enjoy things like that.
The patronus is supposed to symbol something good in the casters life. I can't really think of anything particularly good in Voldemort's life, so I had to end up choosing the next best thing - Voldemort's "pet".
I also chose the anaconda because Voldemort seems to like snakes in general. Maybe it's the animal he can most relate to. He does, kind of, look like a snake, sound like a snake, and talk to snakes. So, a snake just seems like a common sense answer for me.
Word Count (at least 150): 192
Entry 21.
Voldy's Patronus is A serpent
Why : It might seem almost too obvious, but sometimes patronuses are the things that fit us best, and a serpent (not a snake, because Voldy is larger than life and needs his patronus to reflect that. He would never be so ordinary as to have a simple everyday snake, no matter how evil it may be) definitely fits him well. It represents cunning and fear and power, three things that Voldy prizes. It is also fitting just in the sense that a snake is the mascot of Slytherin. If there is anything in the world Voldy loves and prizes, it is his Slytherin heritage and his time at Hogwarts. Both of these things shaped him and would thus be reflected in his patronus. And as much as Voldy uses his real snake, Nagini, to evoke fear and respect in people, he would use his patronus to do the same. It would slither out of his wand and get rid of anything and everything in his path.
Word Count (at least 150): 165
Entry 22.
Voldy's Patronus is a snake.
Why : I think that a snake would be an appropriate patrnonus for Lord Voldemort because he prides himself on being a Slytherin (the symbol for which is a snake as well all know) and has strong positive ties to both Nagini his horcrus and the Basilisk Salazaar Slytherin himself placed into Hogwarts. Voldemort can speak parseltongue and he seems to really trust Nagini and the Basilisk to be helpful in his quest to destroy Harry. In Deathly Hallows we see that he trusts Nagini enough to leave him where he expects Harry to come - he expects Nagini will be able to keep himself safe and to capture Harry for him. Throughout the books I'm under the impression that Voldemort probably trusts Nagini more than he trusts anyone else, and that kind of a bond could be easily projected onto his patranus. In conclusion, I believe that his tie to snakes produces the only kind of "joy" Voldemort is capable of and therefore makes sense as a possible patronus for him.

Entry 23.
Voldy's Patronus is a snake
Why : I think Voldemort's patronus would absolutely be a snake. I'm sure a ton of people will say this answer and while it might not be very creative, to me it really is the ONLY answer. Voldemort is all about blood. He's all about being pure blood and being as far removed from non-magical people as humanly possible. And as messed up as that is, his ancestor is the one who started the obsession. And Slytherin's symbol was the snake. Therefore the snake became a huge symbol for Voldemort himself as well. His ability to speak to snakes and control them, and his own pet snake Nagini which he trusted so deeply as to even turn her into a horcrux hiding part of his soul. Another reptile could represent Voldemort perhaps but nothing would be as perfect as the snake for Voldemort because nothing else has such deep roots in his concious and being. The snake is definitely Voldemort's patronus.
Word Count (at least 150): 159
Entry 24.
Voldy's Patronus is a black widow spider
Why : Black widows are a small animal, which suits Voldemort very well as he likes to keep his plans and location secretive. A small Patronus could easily travel without being seen by many, and would match Voldemort's desire to reamin hidden. Also, black widows are poisonous and can easily inflict harm on their victims with a venom that stings and causes muscle discomfort for a while but does not kill. Voldemort enjoys toying with his victims before killing them, so this patronus form matches that part of his personality very well. The spider is also often seen as a symbol of death, harm, or bad things to come. These are all things that Voldemort would love to represent with a spell that is supposed to provide protection and happiness. Lastly, many people are afraid of spiders. A Patronus in the form of a spider would often do the opposite of what many patronuses do. While it would bring joy to Voldemort, the Patronus would scare many others, causing confusion and fright everytime Voldemort cast it.

Entry 25.
Voldy's Patronus is an Eel
Why : We already know Voldemort is partial to serpents, and eels are very serpent like despite not being related. They're not the most popular animal among muggles and wizards alike and I believe Lord Voldemort would be drawn to that aspect of their personality. In fact Eels are somewhat exotic animals and what you see in films when villains own giant fish tanks or pets. They're never the safest most cuddly creatures. Aside from the fact that they would appeal to Voldy's dark side, they also look quite beautiful when the swim. I could see the dark lord actually appreciating the fact that they are so delicate and graceful looking in the water. They are this not very attractive animal that can actually still embody beauty. They're similar enough to snakes without being one and I think Lord Voldemort would like the fact they are not the most popular of creatures.

Entry 26.
Voldy's Patronus is a King Cobra
Why : I think it's pretty obvious that Voldemort's patronus should be a snake since he's pretty much the prototype of a Slytherin (very ambitious, cunning, intelligent, charming, elitist) and the snake is the animal of this house. But why a cobra? I think the king cobra is a very elegant snake, with its ability to "stand up", but at the same time it is one of the deadliest, with sharp venomous fangs. Despite its size it is also very fast and is one of the most feared and most aggressive snakes. I think Voldemort would like this snake to represent his Patronus rather than a large snake like an anaconda for example. The anaconda likes to kill its prey by strangling it, unlike the cobra which delivers a deadly bite. I think Voldemort has Nagini to play the role of the first type of snake, but he is more of a cobra. He travels fast and can deliver death with a single swish of his wand, like the bite of a cobra. The cobra is also very evil looking and I think Voldy would like that. That's why I think his Patronus would be a king cobra, which would make the Dementors vanish quickly.

Voldy's Patronus is a snake.
Why : Wizards and witches seem to have a patronus that is significant to them in some way- Harry's takes the shape of his father's Animagus form, while Tonks has appears to have a werewolf, based on her love for Lupin. Nagini is undeniably important to Voldemort; he is forever stroking and soothing her, and beyond that, it was venom from 'dear Nagini' that helped enable his return, so he has feelings of affection as well as gratitude to her.
And there is precedence for one's Patronus to take the form of one's pet/familiar- Dumbledore, with Fawkes as familiar, has a phoenix patronus, while Umbridge, who adores cats, has a cat patronus.
Furthermore, if Voldemort were to have a patronus, it would make sense for it to be a snake, considering how much he loves symbols and how largely the snake symbol features in his life and behavior- he was sorted into Slytherin, the house with a snake as emblem, and he is very proud of his house and its history, being a descendent of Salazar Slytherin. They could both speak Parseltongue, which allows communication with snakes, he commanded a basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets, he chose a snake design when branding his followers with the Dark Mark and had them use Morsmordre to send up the snake symbol into the air when seeking to strike terror into people's hearts, and he also stated his preference to possess snakes while incorporeal.
Voldemort seems too inextricably associated with snakes- after his resurrection, he's even described as having a 'snakelike' face- for his patronus to be anything other than a snake.

Voldy's Patronus is a tarantula.
Why: The tarantula is able to shed its skin, just as Tom Riddle shed his own identity and became Lord Voldemort. Additionally, being a spider, it can spin webs to trap victims in. Voldemort is notorious for concocting elaborate schemes by which to lure Harry Potter to him. To Voldemort, it is never as simple as sending some thugs to kidnap Harry – instead, there must be some kind of process, a prelude if you will, to the act of capturing someone so important. Tarantulas live in burrows in the ground, just as Voldemort lives in hiding & out of the public sphere. They also live alone as they are known to eat each other and Voldemort , too, is extremely territorial – he makes it clear to his followers who is in charge. Finally, the tarantula has eight legs; if you believe, as I do, that Voldemort created seven horcruxes (including Nagini & Harry), then there are eight pieces of Voldemort’s soul, represented by the many legs of the tarantula.

Voldy's Patronus is shaped like Lady Gaga
Why : A patronus is something that ressembles you, who you are, and protect you, right? And Voldemort had people either be scared as hell of him, or worship him? Now, without starting a debate on the virtue of the woman, I believe it's kind of the same thing for said Lady. Some people things she's evil, some adore her, and some are meh, but will give her credit for being strong/driven/decided. The same applies to Voldy, ecept for the fact that it was pretty difficult to feel neutral about Voldy, but you get my drift. I also feel like Voldemort would be able to have an avant garde patronus, in advance on his peers. So yeah, show him a boggart, (because we all know that the dementors can't do anything on our dearest Dark Lord, an), and when he would scream "expecto patronum!", Lady gaga would pop up, dressed up as she was in Alejandro. Scary as hell in my book, and it would allude to Voldy's unique taste in wardrobe. So yeah, his patronus = Lady Gaga. Forget about animals, his would be the Fame Monster.
