Like its wielder, this wand hasn't much patience for side details. It's blunt and well suited to brute force - offensive spells or concussive spells, and curses. I'm not really a violent person by nature and would prefer non-confrontational interactions but when pushed it would definitely boost my confidence and raw strength, which I do have a lot of. On the other hand, it doesn't cover my greater weaknesses - I'm not much of "look before you leap" and the wand is not so conducive to utility spells or stealth. I'm also impatient and my wand is ready to charge in with me - but this way, it has a negative effect on my ability to expand and develop greater skills through practice and patience, which I've already got trouble with. So in a duel, this wand would certainly provide me with the strength to win, but would require more control and carefulness than I have to perform counters and clever defensive moves. It has as much to do with myself as the wand, but then, the wand chooses the wizard for a reason! Against a cunning and skilled opponent I do not think I would win, but against someone with less experience, like me, or someone I can quickly overpower, the duel is in my favor.
