In my opinion, computer-editing (or "post processing") a photo doesn't make a bad photo good. It makes a good photo better, or for want of a better phrase, it ~enhances it.
Some photos are great straight from the camera. Others benefit from a little post processing. It all depends on what style you're going for. There are many things you can do in post processing which simply cannot be achieved with just a camera.
