Date: 2009-03-13 09:07 pm (UTC)Here's why this is their Patronus: For one, he's an incredibly versatile actor and is able to change his personal appearance and persona convincingly for every role his plays. For another, chameleons are not vicious or anything (I wouldn't associate Johnny Depp with anything vicious!), but they can be fierce if threatened -- a good quality in a patronus. And finally, I think the idea of blending in to his environment would be comforting to someone who deals with so much celebrity.

Date: 2009-03-13 09:21 pm (UTC)R2D2WolfHere's why this is their Patronus: I think a Patronus has to be a focus of your positive feelings, so Anakin/Vader would probably fend off Dementors using memories of his pre-machine days. A wolf works well here because it's a pack animal which is very loyal to its family. Anakin is obviously extremely passionate about those he loves, and you see those strong ties in wolf packs. They can be very affectionate... but on the other hand you don't want to mess with them! For the Vader side (post-machine, pre-redemption), there's both the idea of the "lone wolf," and the strict fidelity to authority (whether that's the Emperor or the alpha male!). A wolf patronus works well for him because it covers both the Anakin and the Vader sides of his personality.

Date: 2009-03-13 09:25 pm (UTC)Here's why this is their Patronus: If you form a patronus by focusing on a single, happy memory, then obviously they are both going to think of their friendship. You can't see them being happy separately. And hey, Patronus!House would take out the Dementor with his cane, while Patronus!Wilson would probably convince the Dementor that sucking souls wasn't what he really wanted to do with his life. ;)

Date: 2009-03-13 09:59 pm (UTC)Here's why this is their Patronus: Rabbits are small, gentleand have a tendency towards shyness, which is how I see Diana. Rabbits have extraordinarily sensitive senses are always on the lookout for any impending peril, and I see her too as someone who was always very aware of her surroundings and ready to react, but all the while looking very docile. Rabbits are astoundingly cute and have a soft personality.

Date: 2009-03-13 10:03 pm (UTC)Because: Tigers are handsome and powerful with an innate self-confidence and elegance. There's a sense of immediacy and an aura of electricity that surrounds a tiger. I imagine this is what it would be like to be around Samuel L. Jackson. I think he would bring a sense of gravity into any room he enters. He expresses himself with the confidence of one who expects to be unquestionably followed, and his autocratic style demands respect and commands fear. Just like a tiger, once he has found his groove, he focuses on his goal with a brightly burning intensity. He's an incisive, authoritarian individuals-- a tiger.

Date: 2009-03-13 10:06 pm (UTC)Because: Affable, meek, evokes derision from people who don't like him but respect from those who do. Sheep have no real defense mechanisms other than the safety of numbers, and Mr. Rogers is sort of obsessed with having neighbors. I can't see him fighting at all.

Date: 2009-03-13 10:09 pm (UTC)Because: The lion has the unmistakable presence of nobility, just like arick. He moves with the unruffled calm of a cat, as well as the dignified gait of someone in command.

Date: 2009-03-13 10:12 pm (UTC)Jesus ChristElephant. (STOP LAUGHING. I love Oprah. It is not a joke).Because: She is a person on deliberate actions. She exudes confidence and calm in all aspects of her life. she acts like a member of the royal family, so I thought of an animal near the top of the animal royalty chain. With an imposing physical presence and kind, spiritual demeanor, the elephant moves easily through life where few barriers can hold it back. JUST LIKE OPRAH.

Date: 2009-03-13 10:15 pm (UTC)Because: he is somewhat aloof, like a housecat, but he's definitely not as domesticated. Wildcats jealously guard their independence. Attractive, solitary, and curious, Johnny would have a wildcat guarding his independence.

Date: 2009-03-13 10:23 pm (UTC)Because: He's a weasel. Erm. He's suave and disarmingly charming. He might appear to be promising to some, but his behavior is motivated by devious tactics. Bush, like the weasel, uses a survival strategy based on the manipulation of others, and his charm is his chief weapon. Like the badger, the weasel is ambitious, but dislikes hard work, and so uses trickery to get the things it wants. Or do I give him too much cred?

Date: 2009-03-13 10:26 pm (UTC)Because: Swans are praised for their elegant grace and gentle beauty. Taylor is also pretty, and he attracts attention and praise for that reason. He has a great reputation for being noble as well. But underneath that, he's a bundle of nervous birdy energy, a bit flighty I think, and not as intelligent or emotionally mature as he looks on the outside. Maybe he'll grow into it, but for now he's mostly looks and noble, nervous energy.

Date: 2009-03-13 11:43 pm (UTC)Here's why this is their Patronus: I would say this, because wolves can be predatory, as well as dominant, and the alpha. Secondly, they have a large range of emotion and show it distinctively. This brings me to Johnny Depp's acting ability and how he can perform in many roles, and many people know his style immediately.

Date: 2009-03-13 11:49 pm (UTC)Here's why this is their Patronus: While this bird is intelligent, I don't believe it carried through for our past President. I say Parrot because these birds are very vocal, but they copy/mimic other people. I saw our past President as mimicing others versus thinking for himself and doing something.
