1. CocoRosie (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=3821353) - They are a lo-fi folkish type band consisting of two members - Sierra and Bianca. Very mellow and very chilled stuff - good for listening to if you're trying to work and such. They've collaborated with lots of people in the psych-folk scene, so if you like people like Kimya Dawson, Joanna Newsom and Devendra Banhart, they're worth checking out.
2. Lali Puna (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=35231820) - gorgeous electronica. They're a German band who are really, really underrated. You don't even have to be a big electronica fan to like them. My favourite track, which isn't on their myspace, is 'Crawling By Numbers'. Again, easy going music - it's not loud and aggressive.
