The first is a band from the Netherlands, called Within Temptation. They're kind of well known, but not really. Like, overseas, everyone knows them. I think. But here in the US, no one has heard of them. They're a gothic rock band with a female singer. They are similar to Evanescence, but they're not as pop-rock. There are a couple different myspaces for them, with different songs. The second is a pop-rock band from California called New Years Day. They are also female fronted - since that's like the only type of band I listen to.
