Yes, I used the word may, but do you really want to give it a chance?
There is no possible way to control the future. Remember when the government tried prohibition? It had a total reverse effect.
This is the world of tomorrow we are talking about, and I personally wouldn't want some trash-talking idiot deciding laws and other things that affect my future.
I've got bad news for ya. they're already in office. And they're already passing laws which not only affect you but everyone else.
Parents can control what their children are exposed to, but only to a point. They need help with it, and that comes from the government. It is impossible for parents to be with their children all the time.
A parent need not be with their child 24/7 to prevent them from "indecent exposure". Proverbs 22:6 states "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Although this comes from a religious text I do believe it is still applicable even to those who do not believe in said religion.
I know this is going to sound bad no matter what way I word it, but "artistic freedom" is a cop-out. You don't need obscenities to make write good songs, you need it to make yourself look tougher. Using bad language is being lazy.
It's not about making "good" music. It's about the artist being true to themselves and having a means to express their emotions/feelings.
