Name: Mary House: Gryffindor Age: 48 and turning 49 in March!! (sorry I couldn't resist)
Name Your favorite bands/artists (as many as you like): I hope you're ready for this - Hard rock; A Perfect Circle, korn, Linkin Park, Tantric, Vast, Union Underground, Audioslave, Godsmack, Alice in Chains, Drain STH, NIN, Marylin Manson, Prodigy, Green Day | Hippie music from my youth; Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Cream, War, Blue Oyster Cult, Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Three Dog Night, Alice Cooper, The Doors, Frank Zappa, Shawn Phillips | Rap and R&B; The Four Tops, Busta Rhymes, MC Hammer, Prince, Cypress Hill, LL Cool J | Smooth Jazz; Sade, Nat King Cole, Vanessa Mae, Norah Jones, Eric Clapton, Candy Dulfer, Mindi Abair, Enya | Strange stuff; Varttina, Ondar, State of Bengal, Sorten Muld, Hedningarna, The Recliners (sorry I know it is kind of long but it is really trimmed down, a lot!)
What was the best concert you've ever attended? Alice Cooper's tour that revolved around an insane asylum back in the early 70's
Do you listen to the radio? yes (though it tends to be rather sucky in the morning around here)
Do you listen to alot of older music (70's, 80's, 90's), or mostly current music? I listen to a wide variety of music. Currently (like in the past month) I have been listening to Nordic music most of the time.
Do you want to work in the music business or in a music-related job? (singer, music journalist, manager, teacher, etc.) : Nope
What is the extent of your musical education? Piano first then band in high school, trombone with some trumpet, guitar and bass guitar in my early twenties.
Would you like the Music Club to focus more on commercial music, traditional music, or another type? (In other words, what kind of activities would you like to see?) I agree with most of the people above that I would like to see a mix of music (as if that isn't obvious with the list I gave above). And I am open to just about any activity. With this club, I am thinking you have a wide range of activities you will be able to do that encompass both music and the HP 'verse.
