Name: Nicola House: Hufflepuff Age: 25 on the verge of 26
Name Your favorite bands/artists (as many as you like): Evanescence, Metallica, Bon Jovi, Black Eyed Peas, Depeche Mode, The Offspring, Nickelback, Linkin Park, Subway To Sally, Nightwish, Schandmaul, Queen
What was the best concert you've ever attended? Robbie Williams *drools*
Do you listen to the radio? Not as much as I used to, but I still prefer waking up to the tunes of my radio alarm clock over one that just emits some shrill and annoying sounds.
Do you listen to a lot of older music (70's, 80's, 90's), or mostly current music? Mostly current, but there are just some classics that I have a soft spot for. Queen, for example, will always be one of my all-time favorite bands.
Do you want to work in the music business or in a music-related job? (singer, music journalist, manager, teacher, etc.): No, I don't think so. I think it takes more than just liking the music in order to write about it / work with it. And even though I greatly enjoy singing in choirs, I don't think I sing well enough to make it my profession.
What is the extent of your musical education? Besides the music classes at school I also learned to play three kinds of flute (recorder, alto flute and German flute), took singing lessons and sang in several choirs, the last one being the best, as it was my university's choir and we performed together with the university's orchestra. It was a blast, really XD
Would you like the Music Club to focus more on commercial music, traditional music, or another type? (In other words, what kind of activities would you like to see?) Oh, I think a mix of all of them would be nice. I like trivia a lot, or maybe something like the Christmas Carol contest last month, that we take a well-known song and try to make it fitting into Hogwarts. Or making graphics that fit to the mood of a certain song.
