Hello everyone! Welcome to the S.P.E.W. club. I'm Ivan, the new leader. In this club we will discuss important issues in the world. Harry Potter and Real Life.. Whether it's happening in your own back yard, half way around the world, or in a book. This club, while here for fun, is here for a purpose. It is here to spread knowledge to members of HogwartsIsHome and the world about important things that effect our lives. We will participate in Debates, Graphics, and just general discussion. Now, I'm here to take over, but I will honor the work that devilintraining did with the club. So! Now that you have heard my little rant, I hope that you will join up! Please don't worry about not being accepted, because you will be. The application is mainly for my use to get to know you guys and for the records.

3. Why do you want to join? I love debates of all sorts of natures and what people have to say for themselves. In my head that didn't sound so mean.

4. Any ideas for the club? The Iraq war would be old news, but possibly comparing this day and age with Utopian societies such as Brave New World. Comparing literature to society is always interesting, to me. Hee.

3.Why do you want to join? I like debating about world issues, as well as discussing them. Not so much on the graphics, but we'll see what I can do with MS Paint!
4. Any ideas for the club? I don't know if you guys have talked about this before, but the earth quake in Pakistan, it kind of bugged me that it got almost now television coverage or assistance or anything, and killed something like 10 or 20+ times more people than Katrina, which happened a few weeks earlier.

3.Why do you want to join? I'm quite the humanitarian if I may say so myself. I do lots of community service...and like to make the world a better place. And I like to argue. :)

3.Why do you want to join? More for the social-political debates and conversation than any real belief in the liberation of house-elves... (as that would probably encourage an unhealthy lemming-reaction in a large percentage of the species...)
4. Any ideas for the club? I really like 2weeks3days ideas, actually. I think it would interesting also to compare modern political situations to that of the wizarding world as well as the complications the two may cause for one another.

3.Why do you want to join? Brushing up on debating skills would help me a lot seeing as I'm about to enter the civics part of my high school course.
4. Any ideas for the club? So. SO many topics. Since there's an ongoing election here, a lot of issues have been raised. Although I'm not sure if any of these issues aren't too out there, such as gay rights or cultural separatism, or that the issues apply to everyone here. So. short answer, not really.
