Name: Anna House: Ravenclaw Reason you are joining Astronomy club: I've always loved the sky at night - I watch Patrick Moore's programme of the same name! [/geek] - and actually considered doing astrophysics at university. I'm just fascinated by the universe in general and atrsonomy is one really cool way to get into it. Favorite star/constellation/planet/and/or nebula: I was really excited by the recent Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn and the landing on Titan because I think that moon is fascinating. Further out, I love the Eskimo Nebula, and the Crab Nebula because of the stories it inspired when it was viewed on earth as the star went Super Nova. Any subject of Astronomy you'd like to see covered?: I'd also like to do something on the loose objects in space, the occurances of meteors and comets, and the smaller bodies at the edge of our solar system.
