The Dueling Club

WANDS AT THE READY!

Welcome to the Dueling Club! I am the club leader, Nikkie (nikkied_05 ) and I am very pleased to be your club leader, at the you may consider joining.

The basic idea of the dueling club is to enhance your ability to perform spells/charms, putting together all the knowledge that you have acquired from many of the classes/clubs, and enhance your knowledge of spells/subjects in general. Trivia will be a major part of this club. It might be a good idea to join the other clubs, as they will most likely help you in this one as well.

If you wish to join, please fill out the application, under the application cut. The "application" allows myself and other members to get to know you better. All applicants will be accepted regardless of their answers!

4. Why have you decided to join The Dueling Club and what do you hope to achieve by participating?:

I have filled out an application, as an example and so everyone in the club knows who their club leader is. I feel that anyone should be able to come to me with questions/ideas/suggestions for the club, and therefore I should not ask the members to ever do anything that I would not do myself.

3. Wand (description etc): Willow, Phoenix Feather, 9 inches, flexible, great for charms, and defensive spells.

4. Why have you decided to join The Dueling Club and what do you hope to achieve by participating?: I don't have to join do I? I'm the leader! Actually, I became interested in The Dueling Club after re-reading book 2. It gives a person a wider knowledge of spells and charms that one can use. What do I achieve by participating? Knowing and meeting all of the members and becoming a good/better leader here, and in life in general.

I have a few ideas for the club, rules, etc. Once again, they're placed under an LJ Cut so that there is plenty of space in the community for the other clubs.

My main plan, is to have a duel once a month, or every Hogesmeade weekend. There will be a "sign up sheet" posted a week prior to the duel where a member can sign up for which duel they would like to participate in depending on the day and time. Similar to a tournament. Each duel will be a series of questions/trivia about Harry Potter topics spells, charms, plants, characters, subjects, etc. Points will be awarded for correct answers, as wells as participation points and extra points if you place 1st, 2nd or 3rd. More to come on this section when a date is set for the first duel.

Again, it would be a good idea to join the other clubs as well to increase your HP knowledge.

In between duels, there will be activities and contests.
