Activity: Write a short newspaper article.
Points: 10 points, participation only.
Deadline: Tuesday, 28 April at 9 PM CST.
It's often said that history is written by the victors, but sometimes contemporary news accounts can give a better perspective (at least of the popular sentiment of the time). Your task is to write a short newspaper article covering any event in magical history*. The event can either be one mentioned in the series or one from real life (either something with a magical connection, like the Salem Trials, or a real event which was actually magical in nature but was covered up). You can not make up an event. Your article is for a wizarding paper, and should be between 100-300 words.
Make sure you're on the roster before the activity ends, and don't forget to sign with your name and house!
*Don't worry about restricting yourself to an event that occurred after the advent of the printing press. I expect wizards simply wrote out one paper and then duplicated it, so your event can be from any time in history!History buff? You'll find yourself among friends by joining here.
