ASTRONOMY CLUB

Alright, as you can see this is the first activity for the Astronomy Club! Now since there are only 9 of us, I'm going to make it a simple contest.

Scroll up and look at what represents us: 'ASTRONOMY CLUB' bolded and enlarged. Do you think that'll suit us very well? Well if you don't you've got the right idea. If you do well...poo on you. So the first contest is going to be a graphics competition. You don't like to make graphics, or are bad at making them? Well, you don't have to participate if you don't want to, but wait! You get something out of this too. No, you don't get money or an actual prize, but points for your house!

Yes, indeed! For placing in first you get 50 points, second place you get 40 points, third place you get 30 points, and for not placing but still entering you get 10 points. Now since this is a club, I can't give out knuts so you won't get those, but still! Those are a lot of points up there!

Now before you all go running off to make your graphics there are a few requirements. The banner must represent us somehow, meaning: it must have something to do with astronomy on it, whether it's a black hole, stars, the planets; just something that has to do with Astronomy. Therefore, you can't put a popsicle on it unless you can relate that somehow to Astronomy and explain it, but even then that's a little far fetched. The size of this can not be any larger than 250x100 either. No larger than that, but you are more than welcome to make it smaller. If you do make it smaller though, please don't go any smaller than 175x100, but even then that's a little too small. Please also put Astronomy Club on it somewhere too.

You have from today, Thursday, August 3rd until midnight Sunday, August 13th. That's roughly a week and a half to submit a banner. After that voting will be up from Monday, August 14th to Saturday, August 26th, with the results posted on Sunday, August 27th and September's competition up by September 3rd.
