If you chose to go Up the Stairs

After the two previous encounters with the dark arts, you feel confident in your skills, so the set off up the stairs. Hey you are never met a challenge you could not handle ;)

The stairs led to a long hallway which seemed to go on forever. Walking down the hallway and you suddenly get hit with a body-bind curse. An old wizard comes walking up to you and asks "Who are you and what are you doing in my hallway?" You tell the wizard who you are and that you are trying to find your way back to Hogwarts because you are lost. The wizard tells you that his eye site is failing and he is responsible to the upkeep of the hallway, and if you help him, then he will give you directions to get back to Hogwarts.

Seeing no other options to escape the Body-Bind Curse, you decided to help the old wizard. There were three things that you need to help out with before leaving.

First, the elegant but dusty tapestries have black haired creatures flying around them. What are the creatures and how are you going to get rid of them? Would you have anything else on hand in case it bit you?

The second problem that old wizard needs help with is that there is a large spiny tendrils and vines coming in through the window near the back of the hall. It is your job to clear the plant. What plant is it and how would you get rid of it?

The third task is that a boggart is in a cabinet in the corner of the room. If you had to pick one character's boggart in the book that you most identify with, whose would it be, what would it be, and what would it turn into when you cast Riddikulus (it doesn't have to be the same as the character's)? How would you get rid of the boggart for good?

After completing all his task, the old man shows you down a set of stairs, and tells you to go through the 5 door on the right and that will lead you on the way to Hogsmeade.

If you chose to Continue on the Path

Having made it this far along the way, you decided to keep along the path. You are walking along and you heard an unmistakable voice say "Excuse me, what do you think you are doing back here." In horror you turn around to verify the identity of the voice and you cringed when you see Professor Severus Snape standing there with a smug look on his face. You begin to tell him how you got lost and you are just trying to get back to Hogwarts, when he interrupts you with his

"I am sorry to interrupt what is probably a well rehearsed story, but I don't believe it nor do I have the time to waste. Now there are two way this scenario is going to end, one you can explain to me what Wolfsbane Potion is used for and give me details about the creatures we give it to. (at least 50 words) OR I could let you continue on your way to what is certain death. Oh, and I would be heart broken if you chose the second option."

Deciding that you better listen to your professor, you start to tell him the information he requested:

After all the information Professor Snape tells you to turn back the way you came and enter the third door on left and then you will get back to Hogsmeade. Before you could thank the Professor he made sure to add "Oh and you still have detention when you get back"

What is Wolfsbane Potion
What does it help and information about it (at least 50 words)

Wolfsbane potion is a difficult-to-brew and still slightly experimental potion to aid lycanthropes on there full moon transformations. It does this by preventing their inner werewolf from taking over their mind, even if their body still transforms. They are then able to exercise self-control during the full moon and to think like a human. Unfortunately for sufferers, it tastes rather foul and has to be taken every day for a week before a full moon. Furthermore, sugar causes it to become inert, so the bad taste must simply be endured.

What is the animal? How would you get rid of them? What would you keep on hand?
Doxies! You get rid of them by spraying Doxycide on them. You'd need an antidote for the poison if you got bitten.

What is the plant? How would you get rid of it?
Devil's Snare. You get rid of it by exposing it to light and heat. Setting it on fire would do the job!

Whose boggart do you identify with? What is it? What would you see when Riddikulus was cast? How would you get rid of a boggart for good?
A disembodied hand scurrying across the floor would be freaking creepy, so I'll go with Dean's boggart. A little cane and top hat would appear and the hand would start dancing. Then I'd laugh and it would vanish!

1.) They're doxies! You get rid of them with Doxycide, but make sure you've got some Doxy antivenin as well.
2.) It's Devils' Snare. You get rid of it with fire.
3.) I think I'd identify with Voldemort's boggart. Though his boggart form is not explicitly stated in canon, it's well known that his greatest fear is death. I really don't know what it would look like, but after Riddikulus, I think it would turn into a LOLCat. XD XD You can't get rid of it permanently - you'll have to move out of your house. D:

Wolfsbane Potion is a potion that relieves the symptoms of lycanthropy, allowing the afflicted to turn into a normal wolf and retain control over their actions.

Lycanthropy is when someone turns into a werewolf every full moon. A werewolf is distinguished from a normal wolf by the pupils, shape of the muzzle, and tufted tail. Werewolves have no control over their actions while in wolf form and, since lycanthropy is highly contagious (via the bite) and werewolves are very dangerous and can injure or kill humans and animals, those with this disease are typically shunned by society and unable to live normal lives. Wolfsbane potion at least gives the comfort, as long as they remember to take it, that they will not escape their holdings and injure or kill anyone during the full moon.

What is the animal? How would you get rid of them? What would you keep on hand?
Doxies, and it's a simple matter of incapacitating them with Doxycide. You'd need an antidote for Doxy bites just in case, though.
What is the plant? How would you get rid of it?
I want to say Devil's Snare...but if it's coming through a window, then it has to be exposed to light sometimes and is outside, so is not existing in a consistently dark, damp environment...
But I can't think of anything else, so I'm going to say it's Devil's Snare and use the b>Bluebell flames spell, so as not to damage to much of the house, as would happen if I used Incendio.
Whose boggart do you identify with? What is it? What would you see when Riddikulus was cast? How would you get rid of a boggart for good?
Probably Harry's, but not for the same reason. His boggart was a dementor, because, as Remus put it, Harry's greatest fear is fear itself. I'm more afraid that my greatest fear isn't my greatest fear, and I'm afraid to find out what it really is (like in that one episode of Charmed where Barbas was killing witches with their greatest fears. Phoebe thought she was safe when she encountered him because there were no elevators around. As it turned out, her greatest fear was of losing her family, not of elevators.) My Riddikulus would turn the dementor into me...dress as Hannah Montana. Then, I would laugh my arse off, because laughter is was destroys a dememntor.

Invented by Damocles, Wolfsbane potion is used--not to cure--but to treat lycanthropy. The potion, while difficult to brew, prevents the beast from taking over the human during the full moon transformation of the werewolf. The disgusting tasting potion keeps the predator at bay, and while they are not true wolves, they are fearsome beats who--without the potion--would attack even their own loved ones. Werewolves--distinguished from true wolves by the pupils of eyes and the shape of both their tails and snout only truly exist at the full moon. Any other time they are regular people (although the term 'werewolf' still applies to them at this time despite them lacking fur and rather sharp teeth and claws). The Wolfsbane Potion allows them to retain their human shape on the nights of the full moon until the light of the moon actually hits them. In summary, the Wolfsbane potion allows the werewolf--who's bite transforms other into a werewolf--to curb their blood lust and retain some of their sanity during the full moon, and despite its difficulty to brew, the effect for the human inside the beast are well worth the effort. Just ask Remus Lupin.

Continue on the path

The wolfsbane potion is a potion brewed with the intent of enabling a werewolf to keep their mind during their transformation. Damocles, the wizard who invted the brew, received an Order of Merlin for his work. He undoubtedly saved many lives with his invention. As the werewolf is able to keep their own mind during full moon, they do not pose the usual threat to humans about them and can safely remain in their presence. Under the influence of the potion the werewolf is able to make their own decisions and retains their own human logic and personality.

ARGH DETENTION, lol.

Wolfsbane Potion:
This potion is given to humans who become werewolves. During their transformation into a werewolf, the human typically loses its mind and becomes "wild", the wolfsbane potion prevents this dementia. If a werewolf drinks this difficultly brewed potion he becomes a docile wolf upon his transformation. It smells and tastes horrible and was invented by Damocles. It probably is made using Wolfsbane or aconite, hence its name.

What is the plant? How would you get rid of it? Devil's Snare hates sunlight! A fire spell should get rid of it.

Whose boggart do you identify with? What is it? What would you see when Riddikulus was cast? How would you get rid of a boggart for good? I guess I'll go Harry's, which was a Dementor. Those things are messed up. When I cast Riddickulus, the Dementor would turn into my nephew Wesley playing Wii Boxing. It's a hilarious sight. Laughter gets rid of a boggart!

What is the animal? How would you get rid of them? What would you keep on hand? The animal is a "Doxy" aka "Biting Fairy". You'd get rid of them by spraying them with Doxycide and then throwing them in a bucket. You'd keep on hand a bucket to dump the doxies in a bottle of antidote (Molly Weasley stated "antidote" in OotP, but it wasn't described.

What is the plant? How would you get rid of it? The plant is Venomous Tentacula although I think you may be mixing it up with Devil's Snare when you ask how to remove it. I searched and searched all the sites like hp-lexicon, harry potter wikipedia and numerous obscure sites. None mentioned killing or removing Venomous Tentacula. Devil's Snare however can be subdued by sending "bluebell flames" at it. Not by sending a "bright sunlight spell" like in the movies.

Whose boggart do you identify with? What is it? What would you see when Riddikulus was cast? How would you get rid of a boggart for good?
I identify with Harry's boggart the Dementor the most. When I cast Riddikulus I'd see the Dementor aka Boggart pretending it was a runway model and posing and walking while it modeled it's "couture" clothing lol. Casting Riddikulus while thinking of something funny and laughing, can destroy an already weakened Boggart.

The creatures are doxies, I'd spray them with doxycide, and keep an antidote to their venom on hand.

The plant is a Venomous Tentacula, and I'd get rid of it by setting it on fire with Incendio.

Whose boggart do you identify with? What is it? What would you see when Riddikulus was cast? How would you get rid of a boggart for good?
My boggart doesn't appear anywhere in canon, but of the ones that do, I probably would identify most with Ron's spider. When I cast Riddikulus, it would turn into, uh... well, the shape would have to change entirely so it didn't resemble anything spidery at all or else I'd still be freaking out, so, um... Spider-Man complaining that his parrot is an ex-parrot. Laughter finishes off a boggart, so Python sketches would do the trick, I'd say. XD

What is the animal? How would you get rid of them? What would you keep on hand? The animal is a Doxy; one would use doxycide to remove them from the tapestries. It would also be handy to have some doxy venom antidote on hand, in case they bite.
What is the plant? How would you get rid of it? The plant is Devil's Snare - I would cast a Bluebell flames spell to remove it.
Whose boggart do you identify with? What is it? What would you see when Riddikulus was cast? How would you get rid of a boggart for good? Hmmm. I think I'd identify with Mrs. Weasley's boggart - I'm very protective of my family and friends. When Riddikulus was cast, they would all turn into a collection of dolls, perfectly unharmed and fine. To remove the Boggart, I would cast a bluebell flames spell and ask the old wizard to walk over with me - the Boggart wouldn't know what fear to embody, and would not like the light.

What is Wolfsbane Potion A potion designed to counteract the effects of dementia when a lycanthrope turns to his werewolf form.

What does it help and information about it (at least 50 words) It helps werewolves by allowing them to retain their sanity when forced to transform to the full moon. The potion must be consumed the evening before the transformation for its full effect; forcefeeding a transformed werewolf is possible, but highly unrecommended. The potion is a recent discovery, easily less than twenty years old. An incredibly difficult potion to brew, few potions masters are able to brew it - Severus Snape being one of them.
