The Animagus Club

As the Animagus Board is slowly making progress working its way through the current applications, I think it's time to announce a new rule:

Before you apply to become an animagus, you have to buy the first 5 books of the Standard Book of Spells Series at hh_diagon.

Why? Well, becoming an animagus is *difficult*. Not just any first year student can become one. The books symbolize the years you spend at Hogwarts and having 5 of them means you're a 5th year student (in this club) and able to become an animagus.

So, off you go, earn knuts, buy the books, then apply!

<strong>House:</strong> Gryffindor <strong>Best Trait:</strong> Hm... I think maybe my ability to stay stable. Like most people, I have moments of joy and moments of sorrow, moments of exceptional strength and horrible weakness, but I kind of always manage to balance myself out. I level things out, to make everything ok for myself, and then i do my best to do the same for those around me. More and more I'm realizing what a good trait that is to have <strong>Worst Trait:</strong> Jealousy will always be my worst trait. I am a jealous person, jealous of everyone. Everyone I know has something I want and I will always envy them that. It's gotten in the way of potentially great friendships before. I wish I could change that. <strong>What would you want your animal form to be most capable of?</strong> I think stealth. I've always thought it was very important to be able to fly under the radar, so to speak. Just to be able to do the things necesary without drawing too much attention to yourself, so you stay out of danger. I hope that made sense, i think it did. <strong>Choose one of the following -- Air, Water, Earth</strong> I would say definitely earth. Water is great, air is great, but I feel connection with earth, and not just because I'm standing on it :) I think it has something to do with being grounded, about being supportive, about being connected to all those around me. I <i>enjoy</i> the earth, the way hills roll, the way gross grows, the way shadows from in valleys and sun bleaches mountaintops. I don't know how to express it thats just definitely where my heart lies. <strong>Warm or cool?</strong> <i>warm</i> is ok... hot? not so much. I think overall, cool. I prefer the clean crispness of the air when the leaves start to change colors. I love snow and ice, I love the slight stinging when your cheeks get cold when your outside in winter. I like to be able to bundle up against the cold, but I enjoy feeling that it's colt outside of my layers of clothing. <strong>Morning or evening?</strong> Evening. There are a lot of things about evening/night that are attractive to me. I love it in the summer when the shadows get long and everything is cast in that golden glow of late afternoon and the temperature starts to drop. I like being able to watch the sun disappearing and the stars coming out, or the lights of a city skyline. I like the thought of being able to just disappear at night, being able to be yourself. If you're driving at night you can sing really loudly and not have to worry that people will see you. Although oddly enough... I am scared of the dark. Evening though, that's where it's at. <strong>Do you like to have people around you or are you more of a loner?</strong> I think everyone is a bit of both. I don't need a large group of people all the time, although it is nice to vanish in the crowd sometimes. Mostly I would rather be with a small group of people who are really important to me, who can support me and who I can offer my support to. And I need my solitude every once in a while, like most of us do. I need to be able to slink away and be on my own and enjoy just being myself, and knowing who I am. <strong>Please give an accurate description of your appearance; pictures are welcome!</strong> Well this is a tough one because my appearance is always changing! The basics that stay the same though, are: I'm 5'3" ish, and I'm not a skinny girl by any stretch of the imagination. I have green eyes, well most of the time, those change too though. Um, my hair naturally is sort of light brown I guess, it's been so long since its been natural, I don't really know. It's black currently. South African Caracal -- Although closely related to the Lynx, the caracal is smaller in stature and has a much longer tail. Caracal is a Turkish word meaning "black eared". They are capable of tremendous aerial acrobatic jumps. Caracals have the claim to fame of being the "fastest of all the small cats".
