This was the very first time-travel historical fiction book I ever read, and I absolutely adored it! It's really clear Diana did her research, too, which is a real breath of fresh air for fiction writers. Did you read the rest of the series? I got through book four, when I felt the quality started to take a nose dive, though her historical accuracy remained as strong as ever.

The others I read more than once. What was great, I read Outlander the first time in high school. It was a few more years and I found it again plus that it had a sequel. I got so excited.
That is why I decided this book would be great historically. Diana did so much work into it and each book takes you through different struggles. I know that it was going all the way to the revolutionary war. The only other that I have ever found with that in depth of a background was Clan of the Cave Bear (can't finish for the same reason, took too long for the next books). All I can say is thank goodness JK only kept us waiting a few years and I found the fandom, otherwise I may never have finished HP.
