I chose the ouroboros because it represents cycles, no beginnings and no endings. One of my personal philosophies is that everything in life is a cycle and that life itself is a cycle; every living thing is born, lives and dies and is reborn to live and die again in one form or another. Seasons run in cycles, summer becomes fall becomes winter becomes spring until it is summer again. All substances have a cycle as well, for example, ice becomes water which in turn becomes ice.
I also like that the ouroboros is a symbol of eternity. Which is great and incomprehensible and in a way completely unchanging. Ever changing and yet always the same. This kind of dichotomy is the very essence of life. I really like this philosophy so I think this is a good rune for me.
