#1: In many ways dark and mournful, the image that hopped into my mind at the very beginning was a large ship traveling through dark waters, with mournful ghosts trailing. It’s… chilling and hard to see, but the sound is clear in the night air.

#2: It’s like… traveling over the snow. In a sled swerving all around the smooth surface with more and more urgency and adrenaline wrenching and washing it’s way in and out. The snow would be flying, the air would freeze and darken around me and the story would rise up. Bombarding the surroundings, branches and trees breaking and falling.

#3: I see a dance behind my eyes, two people holding tight to each other, not wanting to let go, swaying with each beat, but completely lost from the music itself. They leave in a car, and it becomes one in many with the traffic flashing in and out. Always going. Always rushing.

#4: I hope no one minds that this is going to be an image of silence, because the video was gone, and then I imagined going to search for it, and then I think I found it:
It’s like a trip along a long interstate highway, just running over the repeating road, again and again. My eyes are following the marks on the road as they repeat: appearing and disappearing.

#5: An empty courtyard. A church on one side with s bells swaying. White doves flying away, lifting into the air, startled by rumbling ringing. The day is bright and filled with light, almost harshly, and the sky is a bright blue. I’m looking for something.

#6: Techno, night club. The strobe lights are flashing multiple colors, and bodies are dancing, within the crowd – you can get completely lost. It’s dark and all jumbled up, but it’s alive and buzzing with energy. You feel as if you can just dance the night away, watching the spots of light spin around the room.

#7: A barren field. A solitary man. He’s only looking forward, walking towards the mysterious horizon trying to find answers in the searing heat. The farther he walks the more hazy it gets even as the earth cracks around him. There are engines pounding, pistons pumping.

#8: A music box. A lullaby child, drifting off to sleep. Enraptured by the softly spinning mobile above her – with soft stars and a crescent moon. In her dreams, she sees a ballet dancer, spinning as steadily as the figurine in the box.

#9: A crowded train station, with people hurrying everywhere, rushing until a wind sneaks in underground, and empties the entire station. All there is, suddenly, is the pounding of footsteps, of a chase in the empty darkness, but it’s all faded figures and undecipherable shadows. People on cell phones above ground.

#10: It’s a rain storm. Sitting inside on the shore of a lake, but instead of the big body of water outside your window, your entire vision is focused on the small puddle forming along the window ledge. Each drop of rain falling in, and falling the pin-balling, colliding patterns traced on the glass.

1) This one makes me think of Zelda at the beginning, approaching a castle drawbridge, muddy and cold from the rain, shield and sword heavy. A return from battle to a nearly empty castle, delivering bad news of a loss. Definitely the colour grey, voices give a light yellow behind the grey. The music 'caresses' the mind.

2) The main melody lifts up the head and pushes me backward on the first beat of the bar. Riding a trireme to open sea towards dawn, the strokes of the oars on the stressed beat.

3) Ooooh this reminds me of riding on the DLR, an above ground driverless subway system in London - through East London. The pace is quick, like a whirlwind tour, past the factories and the airport, seeing a plane take off. Sharp greens and yellows from the guitars and flashes of white from the percussion. Pull into Woolwich Dockyard at the end.

4) I was enjoying that song way too much and nearly forgot to pay proper attention. I was bopping along. Makes me think the time I went on holiday to Majorca as a kid with my sister and parents. We'd spend all day in the pool and in the even we'd run around with the other kids and get up to innocent mischief. Reminds me of the laughter we had.

5) Image I have no idea why it reminds me of this film as it doesn't sound like the score but heigh ho :D

6)Waaaa makes me think of the last level of Tomb Raider 5 where you're being chased by this cyborg through the level and you have to make all the jumps perfectly, run around the corner, shut the door and gas him. It really freaked me out. The main theme in this song make me feel uneasy like when I was trying to do that level. It improves as the song goes on but just makes me feel relief rather than chilled or anything.

7) Image

8) Sounds very bittersweet and creepy. Almost like a child lost in a forest or a crowded city, wandering around looking in every nook and cranny for her parents. She's possibly holding a red balloon - the creepiest children do.

9) The starlings at the beginning take me back to my back garden in a summer evening. The change in music definitely takes me to a fight or flight response, possibly a zombie attack - I think that's the intention of the piece. This is heightened by what sounds like a siren part way through that sounds like the siren on the flood defence barrier near my house, so it's a bit freaky!

10) This song reminds me of clubs. Although I know the song is pretty chill, it makes me feel uneasy because I've never been a fan of clubbing an so I feel a little claustrophobic listening - but I'm sitting in the corner, drink in hand, watching the crowds.

1. This reminds me of the beginning of a battle film. (You might see a lot of things remind me of movies). But the beginning is kind of like the cannons going off, and then you can see the two sides getting prepared as they line up and face each other across the desert terrain. And then when the melody starts, I see the battle going — in slow motion of course. It's sad and painful, and dark.

2. The first thing I saw when the music started was an image of a couple — maybe a prince and a princess — dancing together in a huge, empty ballroom, while outside there is perhaps a war or a fight going on. But they are together twirling around and around and for a moment not worried about harsh reality of the outside world.

3. For this one, I started out picturing a woman sitting in a rocking chair, holding a baby in her arms. As the music progressed, I could see the child growing older, perhaps running through the cornfields (I don't know why there are cornfields, but there are). Then a montage of sorts as the child turns in an adult, and then an image of her driving off into the sunset.

4. This one is not there anymore. The link says the video has been removed :(

ETA: Found another one on youtube

This one brings up a picture of a party, because there is a sound that kind of sounds like clapping. Maybe a wedding, a Jewish wedding, where the bride and groom are up on the chairs and people are standing around clapping. Or during the reception when various people are popping into the middle to dance and those around the edges of the circle are cheering them on.

5. I picture a girl, a ballet dancer, alone on a stage in a dark theater. And she is dancing all by herself, not just practicing but using the dance as a way to come to terms with what it is that she is feeling.

6. Right away, the first few beats reminded me of outer space and aliens. So I started picturing something like in Independence Day where they are gathering up all the human population and stockpiling food and clothes so they can go into hiding. And then near the end when the sounds from the beginning start coming back into play, that is when the first aliens start arriving.

7. For this one, the haunting melody of the beginning makes me picture a dark, dreary day. A storm is coming in. And someone is sitting alone, maybe outside, as the storm draws nearer. I would imagine this person is quite unhappy and the nearing storm is a reflection of this.

8. This song automatically just makes me feel sad, and I picture a graveyard, a funeral service, and people mourning, comforting each other, saying goodbye to the deceased person. Everyone is in black and there is just a very sad melancholy to the whole thing.

9. This song is giving me the creeps. I'm picturing a horror movie, where someone is running screaming through the night as Scary Man in a Mask is chasing her. And she's tripping and falling while trying to get away, and the suspense is building and building ... and AHHHHH!!!!

10. Oh, I see another space set movie. This time, though, I see the people up in space — maybe like Star Wars — and there is a battle going on. Lots of spaceships diving and flashes of light — lasers — going every which way. And, of course, a few explosions every now and then :)
