Ok people. This weekend, we are going to practice the patronus! The patronus charm is very tricky, but I think we can handle it. You will have one week to practice.

What you have to do: by this time next week, you must make a comment here with your happy memory and then loud and clear (be creative here) say "EXPECTO PATRONUM!"

practice hard and when you are ready, post! If you do it well, you just might get a surprise. . . . .

My memory is of watching eurotrip with my friends before i left for a year, there were three of us(me, mike, and Rika), just hanging out and laughing and teasing and it was so wonderful.

I walk with my chin lifted slightly, a smile which is made by 'my lips having been hooked behind my ears', and I've got a skirt on which is near falling off because it is lose. I stop two meters away from the black grand piano and take a breath before nodding to my right. I don't even conciously remember the lyrics to the song, I'm just singing until finally the piano slows, and even though I'm paniced I still enjoy it.

I hear people clapping and exit, but then the greatest part of all is when I've given up all hope of getting a place- the third and second places have been announced already, and any hope of a placing had been with third. Then my name is read out, and I am first in a state singing competition.

"Expecto Patronum".

It's Thursday night and my band is ready to perform for our audience. We start out first song and everything turns out fine. Them, we perform our second song, everything is good. Third song, everything is great. Then our last song, “Pirates of the Caribbean,” we played it better than we’ve ever played it before! The audience claps at the end and everyone has a smile on their face from ear to ear. It turned out to be a great night.”

I was four years old, and had begged my mom to let me be in a child beauty pageant. She finally caved, and then made all my dresses, and swimsuit. We also had to sell things for points. I ended up taking first in Beauty, and second in sales. I am very proud, not because I am narcissistic, but because I went through with it, and was not afraid when I went up on stage. I now have two trophies, and a picture of me with a crown, velvet cape and septor.

My happiest memory would have to be (and this is pretty lame but...) when I was awarded the John Philip Sousa Award for the second year in a row. Only seniors are supposed to be awarded it and so after I got it my Junior year I figured someone else would be getting it when I was a senior. But then they called my name...and my mom cried. It's a prestigious honor and I felt...so talented to have won it.

What other clubs are you involved with? I'm also involved with the DADA club and I'm part of the Order.
Why do you want to join the DA? Well as I am a part of two different Dark Art's resistance groups, I feel like it would be helpful to be part of a third and I would be able to apply the knowledge I have gained to ensure I'm doing the best I can in all three groups.
How will you be an asset to this club? I will be an asset to this group because of my dedication, knowledge, and ability to research.
What do you think is the most important part of being a member of the DA? I believe you must be dedicated to the club and willing to participate in all the events.
What about the DA from the books would you like to see translate here? Mainly learning about all the interesting hexes and jinxes they learn in the DA.
Is there something other than trivia you'd like to see here? Meh, I've always been a fan of trivia =)
