Astronomy Club!
Finally, I have gotten my act together! Well that meaning my RL has settled down and I don't have to worry about AP tests anymore. Whew! Okay now to the fun part.

aurora_borialis) your club leader! In this club we will vote on a topic for each term. Mostly considering constellations, planets, nebulas, and the like. Any and all suggestions are definately welcome! You can e-mail me at Newbiegurli[at]comcast.net any time. We will, of course, be doing contests and the like. Well before all of that fun we need to get a roster going. The application is under the cut. Please leave it in a comment to this post.

Reason you are joining Astronomy club: I absolutely adore the stars. I'm a sucker for nebulas. I have maybe about 12522 saved on my computer. I've always been fascinated with the subject of Astronomy. I love just looking out at the stars on a clear night. It's a great feeling.
Favorite star/constellation/planet/and/or nebula: My favorite star would have to be Betelgeuse (Alpha Orionis). It's the big, orange star in the corner in the constellation Orion during the Winter Solstice. I also love the Orion nebula. (The club banner is made with this nebula as its background)
Any subject of Astronomy you'd like to see covered?: Nebulae

Reason you are joining Astronomy club: I've always liked astronomy, and I want to learn more about it while earning points for my house! ^_^
Favorite star/constellation/planet/and/or nebula: Um... hard to pick. I like them all. I guess for constellation I'll go with Draco and Orion, and for planet I'll pick... Neptune.
Any subject of Astronomy you'd like to see covered?: Yes! Black holes! I'm very obsessed with them. Also, since it kind of ties in with black holes, it would be cool if we covered space-time and light (waves and particles), oh and possibly some discussions about anti-matter and chances of alternate universe(s).
