The Animagus Club
As the Animagus Board is slowly making progress working its way through the current applications, I think it's time to announce a new rule:
Before you apply to become an animagus, you have to buy the first 5 books of the Standard Book of Spells Series at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)

Why? Well, becoming an animagus is *difficult*. Not just any first year student can become one. The books symbolize the years you spend at Hogwarts and having 5 of them means you're a 5th year student (in this club) and able to become an animagus.
So, off you go, earn knuts, buy the books, then apply!

Best Trait: I'm easy going. It takes quite a lot to get me angry and I can think my way out of a problem rather than getting angry about it.
Worst Trait: I'm easy going. I think it's both my best and worst trait because sometimes I think I'm too easy going. There are situations that I should probably confront a lot sooner than I actually do, but because I'm so easy going I can sit back and let them develop for too long.
What would you want your animal form to be most capable of? Fighting when it has to. I wouldn't want to be something that wouldn't be able to defend itself successfully if it had to.
Choose one of the following -- Air, Water, Earth Air. I think my main reason for picking this is because I'm a Gemini, which is an air sign and I just felt drawn to it. There really is no other reason.
Warm or cool? Cool. I don't like to be too warm because it makes me uncomfortable. Plus I live in the UK so I'm used to the cold!
Morning or evening? Evening. I'm definitley not a morning person. I like to leave getting up until the latest possible moment and I like to stay up as late as possible.
Do you like to have people around you or are you more of a loner? I guess I'm a bit of both. I like people around to a certain extent, and I like hanging out with my friends, but after certain point I want to be on my own again.
Please give an accurate description of your appearance; pictures are welcome! I am quite short, medium build, I have blue eyes and shoulder length, straight (dyed)black hair. Oh and I have a very pale complexion.
What are your favorite hobbies and extracurricular activities? Ice hockey - to play and watch, reading, listening to music, surfing the internet, chatting to friends online, hanging out with friends.
Are there any animals that you feel drawn to or a connection with? I suppose dogs/wolves/foxes...anything canine. I don't really know why, but I've always loved them from being young. Also bats. I love watching bats fly, I think they're amazing creatures.
Are there any animals you are afraid of? Spiders I guess. Not little tiny ones, they're okay, but big spiders I don't like. They just give me the creeps, the way they move so fast and the length of their legs. They just look creepy.
Why would you like to be an animagus? I think it would be useful to be able to turn into an animal if you were in a tight spot. Granted being an animal probably wouldn't help much in a magical battle, but if it was physical it could be an advantage. Plus an animal can often get into places that a human can't without attracting suspicion so it would be useful for spying/getting information secretly.

Pipistrelle Bat -- The pipistrelle is the smallest and most common of Britain's 14 species of bat. It belongs to the Vespertilionidae family of bats, known as ordinary or earlet bats, and appears earlier in the evening than most other bats. It has a jerky, erratic flight, flickering its wings rapidly as it pursues its prey. The jerky flight of the pipistrelle gave rise to the ancient name for bats - flittermouse.
